Another crit miss on a push sealed it, Cap based Gladiator and Morg on his 2nd to last click shot from a ledge. Ant-Man was dead by then, but 4 Regen rolls later, Cap managed to Flurry for 1 twice from Gladiator's Regen clicks to win the game and Thanos!

Total luck right there, Morg crit missed his first HSS final round against Tony Stark, but KO'd him next turn, as Ant-Man fell. Crit misses were the bane and savior of my night...

Dude you played it very well. If you trade that Thanos for store credit i will smack you so hard. After 8 months you ARE THE CHAMPION!

We played a 400 pt CW sealed. Avengers Prime at 400 won. I was the runner up (it hurts to be so close, haha) with Void, Max Fury, and his minion.

I won my Thanos tonight with Ventry, Donald Blake x2, Rick Jones x2 and 35 point gauntlet. I did not use the power gem because if i was going to sit to hit i would use psy/pen blast before i would use range combat. My side figures were Void, Sentry, Thor, Genis-Vell x2. I had Avengers theme team so i chose to go first each game. My first move was to try to heal Rick Jones with Donald Blake, and then theme team prob. it with both Rick Jones. I would then move both Rick Jones to each side of Ventry pushing them and perplexing up defense. Then complete my turn. Then whatever the person i was playing against did I would counter. If they moved out I would hypersonic and attack or hang back if they didnt move. So on my third turn I would give the Ricks power actions to change to Genis-Vell and would try to get my Ventry where the other team couldnt hit me. Then on my next turn push Vells to get to their " A touch of insanity" click. Then i would preplex up my Ventry with both of them.It worked pretty much as planed in all three games.


Round 1- I faced Master Mold, Dr Strange, I belive Talbot but not sure, Aim agents, Aim renagade, and i believe Ant-Man. I started by taking out the support pieces first. Dr. Strange was one of my first targets as well as the aim figure. I did that to help get Master Molds defense down. He took out my Ricks pretty fast then went after my Blakes. He missed on one attack that left a Rick alive so he had to waste another turn shooting at him later to get rid of my perplex. As I got his support figures gone I swung at Master Mold on my way back and hit him pretty good. So it really came down to his Master mold and my Ventry. I got the first good hit in, and it was all Ventry after that.

Round 2- I faced a Ventry, Morgan Lefay, Victora Hand, and an Aim Agent. This game was alot of sitting up and trying to hit each other. I got to my Vells, and perplexed my Ventry up by 2. It seemed like in each game I got 6 at least 2 times.At one point he ran up, and tried to hit my ventry, and did but i probed out of it. I was pushed so it was a good time for him to try. I perplexed his Ventry down, and got lucky and got his damage 2 times so he was down to 2. I cleared, and he couldnt do any damage to me. My next move i hit a 6 on my perplex and hit the plus 2 to damage. So that gave me an 8 damage and i ran up and hit him. After that his Ventry was gone the my next turn. I then went after Morgan, and the other help.

Round 3- I faced( you guessed it) Ventry, Rick Jones, Donald Blake, and Hank Pym. He had the gauntlet on Ventry. This game was like game 2. Alot of move and hide when you could. I got to my Vells again, and that helped me with attack and damage at one point, and I drew first blood on his Ventry, After that he took out some of my Ventrys help, but I did roll a six again at one point to really help me seal the win.

All the games were close and well played. It was the most fun I have had at game in a long time. There was only one Chanos team. That team lost in the first round to the player i played against for the win.

I won my event tonight playing against some very powerful teams and players but managed to come out on top. Was nice that everybody decided they were not going to run Sentry/Void so it would be a fun evening for all involved. Ran the following figures,

It defeated a Galactus team, a Sentry/Void team, and then my team, which was an Avengers team with Morgan (full Gauntlet), Hawkeye w/T-bolts, E Scarlet Witch, CW FF Captain America, Rick Jones, Donald Blake.

My team easily beat a Chase Thanos team. Just used my theme bonus to win the map roll, declare myself 1st player, and then on first turn, move everyone EXCEPT Hawkeye. (2nd highest pt. figure) Thanos couldn't activate his power on 1st Turn because of 1st turn immunity of Hawkeye. 2nd turn, he no longer had immunity and the rest of my team was in prime position to strike, and Hawkeye got TK'd up to join the fight quickly.

BTW, the FF Cap and Hawkeye togeter are AWESOME!!! Roll 5 or 6 w/Leadership on Hawkeye, take a token off Cap. Roll a 6 with Cap's Leadership, take a token off Hawkeye!

The last game came down to a strategic blunder. Having not played against many Strange teams, I forgot the Astrals could be given their free move action and then move again with a normal move action. It actually sucks more to lose because of a mistake like that more than bad dice rolls or just things not goingyour way. Especially when the team had a good shot if played right. I was disappointed that I didn't play against Ventry. Was really looking forward to perplexing his attack value down to 8.

Morgan Le Fay was/is a rock star and its good to see her get so much play in the reports. She doesn't have the best attack numbers, but with a gauntlet, her 12 move and phasing lets her chase around a Sentry/Void and keep his attack values low, making him have to hit 9s to do anything. That means 160 of my points are keeping 340 points of my opponent at bay while the rest of my team is cleaning up.

The 1st turn trick against Chase Thanos was pretty easy to pull off. And after I hit him off that power, and the Wolverines that were with him had to go use actions walking up to my team while under fire.

My 2nd game was against a Masters of Evil team with Zemo, 160 Ultron w/gauntlet, Black Knight and Egghead. Nice team actually, but I was able to keep Ultron from getting a single target Pulse Wave off and Morgan was blasting with that Psychic Blast for 4 per shot.

At my venue the top three winners won with the following.

1st place,3rd place: Chase Thanos, 2 x IH Wolverine 035

2nd place: Dormammu 250, Skrull Black bolt 133, Xavin75, w/full gauntlet 40 on Dormmamu.

I faced both 2nd and 3rd place winners and lost only due to a minor mistake.

I ran Sentry & Void w/avenegers heroic age ata and a full gauntlet, two xavins. my build total was 492.

My minor mistake with 2nd place winner, who was my 3rd match at which time I was 2-0 and at 1000 points, my mistake was not going up to Dormammu and plowing into him with a multi attack with sentroid having my attack perplexed and damage up by +1, I would of won.

He hadnt empowered his black bolt yet and so at worst case scenario having succeeded on both attacks, dormammu would of been on his last click by turn two and then i could of cruised taking care of BB and Xavin.

3rd place winner played the Chanos kill box, my mistake then was after being pulled in, I should of focused on Thanos instead of the wolverines.

word to the wise, when you see a tentpole team go after the biggest baddest piece first then worry about the posse, this game is best played implementing this aspect of prison rules.

Out of the 13 players that showed up, only I and 2 other players played sentry and Void, I and another player played the exact same team and ended tied in 5th place. The other guy who ran a sentroid had Morgan Le Fay and one of the yellow behive men from IH. he played defensivley and lost.

But interestingly enough 2 of the winners played Chanos kill box teams.

13 players did nobody play unspoken or did it just not dO well.

Yes 2 players played Unspoken teams. Version 1 was my first match,he had Unspoken,Quicksilver, Dinah Soar and Wasp. Inhuman ATA on both Unspoken and quicksilver and a full gauntlet on Unspoken.

He won the roll off and chose lvl 2.

I placed my Sentry&Void in the middle of the deployment zone with my Xavins at each end. He chose the one to his left and placing Unspoken 2 spaces away from Ventry. he ended his turn, and forgot to roll his gauntlet, once it was my turn I told him to take his unavoidable click. Then I tk'ed Ventry out 5 spaces after perplexing his attack and damage by +1, declaring mutli attack, 1st action a hss ranged attack, placing him at the edge of lvl 2 adjacent to the steps on a light object, then I tagged Unspoken, dealing 5 due to the minus 1 on a multi attack, then my second free action of the multi attack to do a psy blast for 5 straight through for a total of 8 damage. Unspoken was broken at this point.

I won my first two rounds similarly this way.

My second match was versus a Galactus@300, gravity feed silver surfer and the gauntlet on big G.

I went after silver surfer first then I focused on big G. He placed big G 2 spaces away from my Xavins and misplaced by one square. my Xavins could still perplex my Ventry. I chose to swap into Void since I was on a light object to benefit from Stealth. Then Void simply kept psy blasting, after taking mystic feedback he ended up on a pulsewave click, so i pulsewaved big G until I succeeded.

The team of Sentry&Void with full gauntlet and 2 xavins is pretty solid, is it perfect? no. If I could do anything different I would rather run 2 50 point Scarlet Witch for the perplex and prob. there were many moments a little prob would of made a huge difference.

Also the way our vennue ran it was supplying store dice, and only one pair per map. the stipulation was if dice went missing then both opponents would be counted as a loss.

It was strict and highly competetive, I will say that those who won definetley earned their wins. People who showed up that night showed up with their a-game. I'm very thankful for our group of players.

Now that IG is over, now its time for DC to shine and look forward to No Mans Land.

Sharon and Scarlet Witch in particular are now my go to gals. they took out ventry after he managed to roll a 6 for regen then kill my strange with a multi attack, and even had enough fight left in them to take out the quicksilver that was backing them up.
Sharon was also a total pain in the @ss for Chanos too, and managed to survive both encounters. gotta love those avengers girls, they rock big time!

i will say i actually enjoyed this event more than i figured i would, so not winning the Thanos doesnt sting as much as i expected it to

For future reference, if you both legitimately forgot, then nothing should be done. If you notice he hasn't done it yet, you're supposed to let him know before he ends his turn. You can't dictate that he takes a click.
