I just can't believe WK didn't give him a trait or a power named "It's Clobbering time" (or something) as they usually did...
I'm not a great fan of this big guy but I think they could do a better work on him.
I mean, the yancy street one really needs that Indomitable! I see him begging for a better DV especially on the front click, imho that 18 defense is a waste on the last click.

Looks neat. I wish the lower point one had the Avengers keyword though, as that's the sculpt/dial/point-value I'd like to be rocking (get it? ) on an Avengers team.

I cant help thinking that the sculpts and experience levels are swapped. Wouldnt an experienced Ben with a rip it up power be better represented by the veteran sculpt?

On another note, Mr. Trench seems an easy mod away from a Turtle. Now Ill need 4 of him...

Really disappointing attack values for someone who has gone toe-to-toe with so many other heavy hitters. Defense is pretty craptastic, too. A 16 Impervious?

The cheaper one is OK for the cost but the trench coat version is just silly. The Thing is my favorite character so I'm a little disappointed that neither of these versions came out spectacular. This after the sub par CW LE. Still, nice that he was included in the set.

82 pnts for a 6 clix dial? Thing with 2 dmg? Again? Did we just take a skip back to Clobberin' Time in 2003? The Vet Thing's dial is really boring and uninspired. I do like the sculpt though.

The 128 pnt Exp Thing is a crappy sculpt and bizarre dial...shape change and no indom? Seriously? hahaha. Crazy time just started people!

Uhhh...Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the whole idea of Battlefield Promotion was to take a rookie, "first appearence" of a certain character and "Promoted" it to a newer, more experienced incarnation of that character. Not the other way around. I would have loved to get an original "Lumpy Orange Oatmeal Blob" (with monster keyword) first appearance Ben and had him promote into the current FF,Avengers,Celebrity version (W/indom). And I think it would be cool to give him a Big Rock removable object in lieu of the rip-it-up esque trait.


I don't think that theyr'e bad figs. Just missed opportunities.

82 pointer is a maybe at best. Trenchcoat Thing will never see the light of day. Neither hold a candle to the Fan4 starter Thing from a few years ago. He's still the one to beat.

Whoever designed the dials for these two figures seem like they mixed things up and really screwed up what could have been two useful figures.
