That's an interesting take on it ... considering they copied things, verbatum. As I said; a complete lack of respect for for what we do here.
In the short time that HCRealms has supported HCO, we have more activity (Threads, Posts, Users, etc.) in our HeroClix Online forums than the "Official" forum does.

Icarus is owned by neca.. Neca also owns wizkids.. The president of neca is not customer service oriented person. I have spoken with him on the phone once, not the most pleasant conversation to say the least. I am not surprised that they would strong arm there biggest fan based.
I still love heroclix, but some things need to change for sustainability.
I wouldn't know; but that's not something I would waste time persuing. I just want the community to be informed about the kinds of companies they are dealing with. How they use that information is up to them.
Well I can't say I am surprised. Remember before league 2 when myself and a friend wanted to enter, but we couldn't both. Because he did not have a paypal account and I paid for his copy of HCO for him. So we were apparently the same person. Despite being logged on from 2 IP addresses frequently. I have to say actually since all that I have logged onto HCO twice and not played a single game. I considered it ridiculous at the time. It is just as ridiculous now.
Do MMO's do this? Erm... no.. Heck if fathers and sons, College Roomates, Husbands and Wives can't play together. Who the hell do they expect to play? Morons. I think that about sums it up.
I am very sorry this has happened to you. I also received a email from HCO customer support stating:
Hello Swhitmer,
In preparation for HeroClix Online League 3, we noticed there were multiple
entries coming from your household, which breaks Rule 17. Only one league entry
per household is allowed. "Household" eligibility may be determined by Name,
physical address, email address, billing information and/or IP address. The
final decision on eligibility will be made by HCO staff.

I replied with a letter stating that my son, who also does not live with me full time, and my brother (who does live with me full time) all started playing table top together 2 years ago, and wanted to continue to play together online, but after seeing your post I can see that they are going to force two of us to resign. This is unfair, but we have our tabletop games that we still go to here in Henderson, NV twice a week. From this point forward, we will continue to play on HCO without spending any more money. We don't have a lot of extra money to begin with, but we have purchased CB's in the past in order to purchase clix in the auction. But I must admit that it was the players who have shared with us their spare and extra clix that we appreciate and use the most. The HCO community (meaning the players) is awesome, and it is upsetting to see someone take away the family participation portion of this game.
My brother and I honorably support you Howard in resigning from the league as required in rule 17, however, my son no longer wants to play without me so I am assuming we all will ultimately resign from league play. I hope that HCO, Icarus, Wizkids, or whoever is responsible for making all these poor decisions will realize the importance of family, and make better decisions that promote family togetherness.
Again, thank you to all of the HCO players we have crossed paths with, and I hope we can have the chance to play again sometme, away from the HCO league play.
Thank you.

Look me up for a quick game on HCO.
I am a new HCO player and am sorry to hear this. A father and son should be able to both play the game, even if they both gosh...live in the same household. A lot of households have multiple computers today.
Overall, WizKids is a paranoid, suspicious company. They are so worried about collusion; they are not a billion dollar business. They need to wake up and look at the real world and their place in it. The WizKids company is less significant than a mosquito.
Furthermore, copying and pasting the content that Typhon & Howard created is called theft of intellectual property.
I hope to still play casual games with the other HCO players. We don't need an WizKids league to have fun.
Hang on... is Icarus Studios even the same company as NECA/Wizkids?

Oh. Ouch...
Heroclix named Katana are surprisingly easy to decapitate...

I may be wrong here, but I don't think NECAkids owns Icarus (I may be wrong about that). They did invest $1.5 million into Icarus however, so they probably own a decent sized chunk.
There are 542,000 children in foster care. Talk to your local foster and adoptive agency. You could change a life.

They did buy Icarus

According to this announcementm it seems that NECA is the majority owner of both WizKids and MFV (Icarus Studios + Zabu Studio). So I'm not even sure how much say each organization has to say about the other; so I may have been a bit unfair about drawing lines from NECA & WizKids into the actions of Icarus. Still doesn't change the fact that I feel taken advantage of ... and more foolish for trusting that things might be different this time.
Wow, Howard, that is seriously messed up for both you and Easton, not to mention all of the other households that have, or at least had, multiple interested parties.
It strikes me as odd that Icarus would even care.... If a single person had multiple accounts with multiple figures, they paid for them all.
If a person were to enter multiple accounts into a tournament, they would have to pay each time.
And in the end, they would still have to win, so what's the big harm?

Howard personally gave me some of his virtual figures when I was just starting, and I'm nobody. I also understand that this was normal for him to help out new players. He's done alot for the community and I'm fully willing to do what it takes to help him! He's the one who deserves to run hco. They should have been on their hands and knees apologizing to him the moment this happened!
