THanks for the rep, StarkMax. I figure there is no reason to give up when faced with a challenge. Next time, I'll beat the gauntlet powered whatever I am fighting, by being better prepared for it.
you are indeed correct. most of the time my 2ndard attacker can fill the power position as well. E.G. Deadpool with Perplex, or Batman with outwit, or Scarlet witch with Prob control.
Though I am curious... what is theme prob you keep talking about?
FUNTIME RULES CORNER
If your Heroclix force contains all characters that have a certain keyword, your team might be eligible for THEME TEAM BONUSES (trumpets).
For a generic keyword (such as Scientist, Animal, Mystical, anything basic that isn't bolded in the Units section), you need 3 characters for every 300 points the build total for the game is. For a named keyword (such as Teen Titans, Avengers, Green Lantern Corps, anything that refers to an actual organization or group within the comics), you only need two characters per 300 points, because THE AVENGERS is a much cooler team than THE GUYS WHO DO SCIENCE.
So for a 300 point game, you need 3 generic keyworded characters or 2 named keyworded characters for a theme team. For anything past 300 up to 600, you need 6 generic keyworded characters and 4 named keyworded characters. For anything past 600 up to 900, 9 generic keyworded characters, 6 named keyworded characters. And so on and so forth until the game becomes so big that the table crumbles in under itself from the sheer weight of Clix and everyone is sad.
One of the main benefits of having a themed team is THEME PROBS (more trumpets). Essentially what this is is that you have a "pool" of Probability Controls that can affect the game, and any character that can't use Probability Control can be given an action token to use Probability Control from this "pool". Generic keywords get 1 Theme Prob for every 300 points the game is, Named keywords get 2. (so if the game is more than 300 up to 600, a generic theme would get 2 theme probs, a named theme would get 4. AND SO ON AND SO FORTH.)
I know that was a lot of text but I wasn't sure if you knew about themed teams in general so I figured I'd explain them too. You also get +1 to map roll for every keyworded character you have on your themed force. You can also cancel a Battlefield Condition of your choice if you have a themed team, because those certainly still exist and everyone cares about them.
Then you call yourself the ARMORED AVENGERS and immediately get sued by Tony Stark.
Actually, if you qualify for multiple keywords, you pick which one you're associating the team with. In your example, since named keywords give better benefits for being themed, you would consider your force an Avengers force. You could pick Armor as your theme, but then you get less of those precious, precious theme probs.
old school hypersonic. damage value gets locked at 1, and you attack with their def increasing by +1 each time until you miss, and deal damage equal to successful attack. not doable anymore

that things are tight until your wife gets a job but your girl friend got you a special figure for your anniversary?
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
I ordered myself a Galactus... next I field him, when he captures someone, I will yell "I HUNGER!"
Galactus doesn't have the ability to capture.

One and the same. most of our friends refer to us as if married so I've gotten used to it and use the two interchangeably.
I pay for everything. Things are tight but not to the point where we are unable to save and still have a little bit left over for fun stuff. She used her portion of spending money to get me the Duo figure. For Christmas, I am getting Avengers Prime.
