If she can do as much with the Catwoman role as Eartha Kitt did back in the sixties, well, more power to her.

In the meantime, I would be willing to bet that there are hordes of highly talented, attractive black actresses who would be only too happy to slap on a white wig and go out and get famous.

I hope the writers give them better dialogue.

well the stupid line about a toad was the writers fault, but the God awful delivery of it was her fault.

While I think her acting performance in the first movie was lackluster, it was atrocious. I also wonder how much of the problem was how the film was edited.

After watching the additional footage on the DVD, it seems the best work she did was cut from the movie.

The problem was the scenes in which made it into the move seemed over acted. She was trying to play the 'goddess' and not getting it right. The other scenes on the DVD, specificly her teaching, were more natural and not stilted. Not overacted.

Then again, maybe for those scenes she forgot it was a 'comic book movie'. Or it could be bad editing.

Either way, I am not comlaining. I loved the first movie. I will probably love 2 and will look forward to more.

Though I am not sure if I would rather they not use Storm or get another person to play her. My gut reaction says to dump the character (not like there aren't tons of good characters in the X-Men), but I just love Storm so much.

I totally agree. Not every character is in every X-men story ... a movie without Storm wouldn't be a giant loss. I like the character a lot ... but honestly, I felt she was the weakest link in the first movie .....

I never liked Halle Berry in X-men because I didn't think she looked enough like Storm. Storm isn't a little pale waif, she's a big African goddess. I don't think Berry is black enough, actually. (nobody take offense that I used the word "black"...she's not African at all).

I would prefer one of the other hot black actresses to fill the role: Tyra Banks or Vanessa L. Williams would be perfect...especially Banks for the Storm look. Also, with the success of the franchise, it would be nice to put another black actress on the A-list in Hollywood.

I wouldn't mind if they changed actresses for Storm because I think it would make it a better movie. But they need to be very careful about changing more than just one.

As for Berry being better than X-men now....I guess she can go back to her Billy-Bob porn career and rob a few more oscars from Nicole Kidman (who's Moulin Rouge best actress was hijacked by Berry's melanin).

I don't want Berry as Catwoman. She could definitely do it, but after hearing that Ashley Judd was considered, I just won't take anyone else. (Judd would be perfect as the purple-costume version).

The whole cast has signed for X3 except for Berry. Many of the cast have signed all the way through X5 (Romijin-Stamos, Paquin, Stewart, Marsden) and others through X4 (Janssen, Jackman, McKellan).

I've also heard that Singer has turned the movie into a bona-fide trilogy (each movie is a part instead of a separate movie...ie Fellowship of the Rings' lack of an ending or X-men's anticlimax).

I must say, I would like to see Jerry Bruckheimer on board with one of these flicks.

And lastly, I'm going to see X-men three times this Friday, but i wish they would have had a midnight Thursday showing.
