I could still play characters with the same keywords it's just that I won't receive any team bonus to map or Team prob rolls if I make it to main event but ablitys that affect Keywords will still work right? IE Sharon Carter and All Avenger Gain Stealth.
I I know it a dumb question but I want to be clear
Also is there any way to PreRegister for qualifers cause I don t want to play in Kitchen sink or the colossal Events but I will be there.

Keywords exist. They are not a tactic, they are a part of characters. Therefore, yes, keyword related game mechanics would still play the same way. The ONLY difference is that you cannot get any themed team bonuses. If you are confused as to what the bonuses of a themed team are (this is not meant at you directly JudgeLoudog), please refer to the rulebook. The stuff that's listed under "Themed Teams" is what' affected. Nothing else about keywords is affected.

Nope. Kitchen Sink is our launch event so if you want free registration goodies, that needs to be a part of your registration. Again, ALL events are open. Even the limited events will have sign-ups on site.
Pre-registration gets you a discount on a limited event and it gets you a bunch of cool free stuff when you check in. If you are not pre-registered, you can participate in all of the same events and have just as much fun, but you'll spend more money to have the same experience. Heck, even the goody bags (if there are extras) will be available, they just won't be free.
Okay, quick question about the 1000 pt Super booster event. Since I assume with certain GSX figures (Apocalypse, Onslaught, and Nemesis specifically), you will have to cut some of the figures from your prebuilt force to have a 1000 pt team. Wouldn't the team amount have to be bigger for anyone who randomly gets a Batman super booster. I don't believe any of the single vehicle boosters goes above 200 points which would leave them at a disadvantage compared to their counterparts that pull a colossal or a 2 vehicle pack. I planned on participating and was wondering if this situation had been brought up prior.

It has been brought up and I'm going to send an email out to folks. If everyone registered for the event replies acknowledging receipt then we'll change the format to allow 1000 points to be brought (but you still must insert the entire contents of your super booster onto your force)

Okay, thank you for clearing that up. I was thinking that once it was brought up that this would be the solution, I just wanted to have it verified before I had built my team. Looking forward to this!
Whats the policy on mods if you make it to championships?
Same policy that's been used for years.....
1. Any mod must be accompanied by the unmodified piece.
2. Head judge must review any/all mods. The general criteria I will be looking for is "does the mod create ambiguity regarding the piece being played." For example, if I placed a Skrull General's sculpt on a Super Skrull's base, that's creating ambiguity (and from the example, you can tell how long I've been answering this question). If the head judge does not approve the mod, it cannot be played.
3. Even if the head judge approves the mod, every player must be given the option. "Here is my (unmod'd) team. I have a mod of this figure(s), approved by the head judge. Do you mind if I use the mods?" Each player can choose to deny your use of the mods for their match.
And while I'm perfectly happy to engage in a discussion about whether the above is fair or not, I can tell you that it is what the rules for Clixathon will be this weekend and they are not negotiable.
I will also state that, to date, there have been a number of people who have brought mods. I have never once denied a mod's use. Some players have, but that's on them. And if you're telling me your right to mod supercedes a player's right to play the game as it is out of the box, well, I'm the head judge, and you're not.

From your time stamp, it looks like you may have been trying to register after the deadline. While it is past, please know that is for PRE-registration only. All of the events are open, though there are a few events that will bare limited seating, which you could have gotten a reservation for through pre-registration.
I heard about this event from friends at my venue but only just now registered when I confirmed I had transportation and could go. I had an active account from last year so I went directly to Clixathon.com. I just read on this thread that pre-registration deadline was 03/17 but I just registered now on the 20th (currently there is no deadline on the Clixathon homepage and pre-registration is possible), I have a receipt and PayPal transfer to confirm.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience if there was a deadline and I just wasn't aware. I'm just wondering what my status is, am I pre-registered or no? Hoping I am..

I'll have to check the program, because you shouldn't have been able to pre-register. That said, since you've paid, I'll make sure your registration is taken care of. Because of the time it arrived, we will not be able to consider it a "pre-registration" as those goody bags have already been made.

Ah ok, bummer about the goodies but no biggie, I'm sure I'll have a good time either way. As long as someone can verify the transaction so I don't have to pay again; that would be good. Thanks for looking into this.
