I'm serious. They did a good job (not perfect) after the original Crisis on start all from "zero".
They kinda try it again in Zero Hour and still was a good atemp.
This new 52 of start SOME things again and others don't is totally stupid. You CANOT begin a Universe on that way and make it on the right way.
What they tried to do was reboot everything but Green Lantern and Batman (some Legion stuff was changed other stuff wasn't so I'm not going to address that atm), but expect us to believe that all the Batman and GL stuff happened in 5 years (heroes weren't in existence/didn't work/weren't active/so on before Superman hit the scene) It's a lot to process, and to figure out what is good and what isn't.
Obviously this didn't go well for fans who had stuff that was erased or changed, hell the whole Batgirl debacle was HUGE and that is only 1 thing out of many.
But honestly DC themselves have said to old fans "Get over it" and expect us to do so instead of being insulted that they are throwing our history in our faces.
They act like they don't know why they are losing sales and cancelling books. Can't really expect people to stay and enjoy being crapped on.
Phantom stranger have conversations about it wiith mystery woman that create the new 52 on her on wish and Stranger told her that she is wrong doing that and keep intervining.

Where is this happening? In the new Phantom Stranger comic?
I really despise how DC editorial demands this nu52 being stuck to but then reneges on creative decisions like killing off John Stewart due to fan reaction from the spoilers. Marvel kills off characters all the time to the point it's obvious they do it as a sales tactic. I'm not saying I agree with the tactic, but it works.
Then again, they've quietly killed off Sun Boy in Legion of Super-Heroes back in Febraury and no one took notice. Then again that storyline's still going and they haven't had time to give the character a proper tribute either.

I'm not currently reading that, but they did rewrite Phantom Stranger's entire existence, so anything in that book is already different from before.
It is also a book that isn't being read by a lot of people, so it could be a ploy to either inflate the popularity of the book, or hide story where people won't be reading.
I agree and disagree with a lot that was said here.
First and foremost I wish DC had just rebooted the whole universe. It's just too damn confusing to try and work in what does and doesn't make sense for people who have even the most basic understanding of pre nu52 history.
That said, there have been some great stories in the nu52. Swamp Thing, Batman and Green Lantern have all been awesome... And all of those stories could have happened in the old universe.
However the new Flash and Wonder Woman books are quite good and I've heard if you like Morrison his run on Action Comics has been enjoyable.
What it all comes down to is if you like the stories enough to keep reading and I do.
They did? Haven't read the whole series, but I read the #0 or whatever, and it just seemed to clarify his origin.
Considering, originally, Stranger was just a guy that went place to place where needed, did whatever he wanted, and was a member of the Quintessence, but now is actually Judas Iscariot cursed to wander the world forever for betraying Jesus, that's a pretty big difference.

Well, that is one of his 4 origins that it comed out around Legends.
Apparently in the latest issue of Phantom Stranger, we are lead to believe that he was also John Wilkes Booth. Oh and the Question is about as evil as they get.
