To the WK Crew: Things like these speak volumes to the community. Thank you for your time and the information. Keep up the good work.
We hope that they can come back onto the podcast with semi regularity. It would be an excellent way to help the community stay in touch with the gentlemen that help bring us the game we love.
I haven't listened to the new podcast yet, but I have a few comments about the comments.

Yes, because clearly we should hassle people about a free game element that they have no particular obligation to release at all, let alone within a given time frame.
If you can't read the sarcasm without teal, you might be a lost cause.

Really wish something was mentioned about ATAs.
Good show guys.
A mention of TMNT? That sounds exciting.

Speaking for ourselves, I am excited to see if this returns some value to the OP Prize LE Figures!!
In recent years, the proliferation of these figures has made the in-store prize a little lackluster.
I remember back in the day, when players were excited to get their LE. Recently, I am often greeted with a, "Oh, yeah, I already have this figure", because they have all gone out and bought them on the cheap.
Thanks, Wizkids. Excited to see where this goes.
I'm on the opposite end of this. I've never understand why anyone thinks that LE figures (or anything else in the game) needs to have a "value" other than people wanting it because they think it's cool. I remain of the opinion that ALL game elements should be reasonably accessible to all players.
Doesn't necessarily mean that everything has equivalent to a $.50 common, or that there should never be a choice between buying one thing or another, but should the day come that one's odds of winning the game can be predicted based upon the amount of money one spent relative to the opponent (as games like Magic often can), I'm out.

I can't listen to the podcast, but was there any info re: OtherClix stuff? I know those of us interested in the non-Comic releases are few and downtrodden, but it makes us doubly hungry for the extremely scant official info.
What powers will they tweek or change to create a more close combat game?
They already reduced the average range. Not many 10's any more.
Smoke Cloud needs a change. I like the idea of either not being able to attack at all or no ranged attacks when you get hit with a Smoke Cloud attack.
Barrier needs some way to move a few spaces and then Barrier. Iceman does that all the time.
Incap will be an exciting change. I'm expecting some minus to combat values to show stunning. Will make it a much more worthwhile power.
Mind Control needs a tweak or two. Unless you are a borken character like Brother Voodoo, its not nearly as effective as it should be. Tweak to LoF at a reduced / default range would be great.
Plasticity will be the biggie. Its gotta have some way to slow / stop L/C and HSS. I expect WK to adopt the oft-suggested 'require a normal breakaway roll'. It would be crazy awesome if it had a defensive ability, too - meaning something that shows that sticky, concussive-resistant ability plasticity characters demonstrate.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
So, we should hassle guests that are interested in making routine appearances on the show? Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.
Besides, they've gone on record multiple times saying that at this point the new ATAs will most likely be included in the next PG. I've never been a fan of beating dead horses.
I'm pretty sure that asking them what the time table is on these is not a big deal. Also its probably a far less touchy issue to bring up to them compared to the delayed holiday figures and them going to fail as a business for making too much product. Both of which were addressed in this interview. Don't defend their position on the atas coming "soon" for the last 3 months as acceptable. You won't make any friends here.
Great 'cast guys; I'm really glad WizKids took the time to address some of the issues. I'm definitely one of those guys that fell out of Yu-Gi-Oh! and will welcome Yu-Gi-Oh! into HeroClix.
As for the comments related to HCRealms and the community, I totally agree that I don't believe that we are very friendly to new players, and that probably needs to be addressed.
With YuGiOhRealms and MKRealms being merged into HCRealms to play into the licenses; this community is about to get a lot more flush with "new" players, and we really have to address a lot of issues ... including site performance. It's going to be a busy 2013 indeed!

What's right isn't always popular, and what's popular isn't always right.

The ATAs were "coming soon" after the last players guide. After a few weeks passed it was obvious that "soon" meant different things to different people. One of the Rules Arbiters then publicly said that it looked as though they would just be holding onto them until the next players guide. It has been addressed. What more was I supposed to ask?

My point is, as a retailer, that LE figures having a value to them encourages players to come to your FLGS and play in tournaments.
Do you remember the days of LE's from sets like Origin and earlier. These figures were not flooded on the market, and players were excited about coming out to tournaments and trying to win them.
I am hoping we see a return to something more akin to that. That's all.
And, using the word value does not just apply to it's monetary worth. The perception of value can vary greatly from one person to another.
I just hope this helps increase that value, (however it may be defined by an individual).
(But I digress... this conversation between the two of us seems very familiar, now that I think of it. Have we tread this territory before)
Rule of Acquisition #301 - Always keep them wanting more.
Awesome show guys! Really appreciated what information we were given and clarifying some things for us.
To those who are crying about ATAs, we got so much information and I thank Jeremiah for not beating the dead horse. His professionalism is what will keep the podcasts going in the future. Keep up the great work!
