The Bug doesn't mind not having too much space. It can hang out in the tunnel of love. To KO it, you must come to it.
And it's *really* hard to KO in 50 minutes. (fixed it for you)
It is hard to KO. You can totally deny people KO points.
But all I need to do is KO one of your guys and then just hang out in my starting area or in the house of mirrors where the bug can't reach.

This. You don't need to KO The Bug if you're ahead in points.
They groaned, they stirred, they all uprose, Nor spake, nor moved their eyes; It had been strange, even in a dream, To have seen those dead men rise.
It's funny people just toss the bug out though... It has tons of places it can go and see. It it a giant, so elevation is nothing to it. The only place I see on the map that it just can't go is the house of mirrors... But a belt wearing bat symbol with cowl will just ruin things in there...
There are only three or so places I can see where it can go. Remember it has to be all on the same elevation and can't stand on blocking or walls. So there's a lot of real estate where the opposition can hide. Getting it to HsS won't help, since it has to make the attack from a square it can legally occupy.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
If my count is correct, The Bug can legally occupy just over 50% of the map pre-quake. The problem is, there are too many places to run and hide. You can literally place 8 figures in the Fun House area on the left hand side of the map in spots where The Bug would have to destroy at least 2 walls to even draw LoF to them.
I simply don't understand why people are enamored with the bug. Between handcuffs and brother voodoo, I don't see it as particularly effective. Then again maybe that's because I usually opt for finesse heavy teams that almost always feature Bro Voodoo and / or Ubelt with cuffs as a major player.

I think a lot of venues are limiting NML events to Batman and Streets of Gotham only, which removes Brother Voodoo. Considering the Handcuffs are the participation prize for month 6, I wouldn't expect any venues to allow someone to use them in their event. So both options you just mentioned are off the table at what I assume is a lot of places.

Touche. I'm always thinking of Gencon, wasn't considering the NML 6 event coming up.
