I agree with all this. I stopped playing 3 months ago. then the whole Infinity Gauntlet event came and i decided to play again. *thinking to myself 3 months surely things have improved*. Nope nothing changed same bugs not fixed, same amount of crappy fast forces and gravity feed figures, same computer resource hog program. Think i will go back to not playing for another 3 months.
So, I was on tonight just watching the chat go by when I struck up a converstaion with Monitor. He was trying to get a sealed game going and asking for people to join, I declined and told him that I'd probably hit another bug and didn't want to go through the hassle of filling out the bug reports and such only to be not refunded yet again. We went back and forth for some time discussing things like all the bugs, how I wasn't putting any more money into the game, etc.
The conversation turned to the shard tourneys and builds and how I didn't know what this weeks format was due to being banned from the HCO forums... at which point Faxan chimes in with:
Faxan: If you contine to talk about it, then it will unfortunately have to go further than that. Me: first rule of bannings... don't talk about bannings Me: so then... that brings up a question... what is acceptable conversation, from an HCO perspective?
I then get an IM from Faxan and this exchange occurs:
Faxan: You cannot talk about moderations at all, so please stop. If you have an issue please do what you were advised to do, which is contact Support. Me: yeah, like its worth discussing anything with "support". please. Faxan: Sorry you feel that way, but that's the way it is. Me: Until HCO gets it's head out of its collective ass and actually gives a rats behind about us customers, I'm going to feel that way. And I seriously doubt you're sorry so save the pity. Nobody there gives a rip. Faxan: Once again, sorry you feel that way but if you have an issue then it needs to be dealt with through Support, so please direct your inquiry there *yes, he included the smiley Me: no, i don't think i will. they've done nothing but ignore my 'inquiry' up to this point. there's absolutely no reason to think anything is going to change. Me: and while you all are busily ignoring emails, the people willing to pay for this "work in progress" are leaving. Enjoy!
You may ask yourself "what's the point of posting all of this?". Just this...
I find it highly amusing that members can sit in the open lobby chat and discuss how bad the game is, all the bugs, the problems with customer service, how expensive it is, and whatever else. But as soon as you mention forum bannings, then they step in and threaten serious consequences.

Man... those guys have NO sense of humor over there. My ban was lifted a little while ago so I posted this...

Hello again!
Well, I'm back! If you were wondering where I was, I was <redacted> for a little while. I'd tell you why I was <redacted> but apparently, we're not allowed to talk about <redacted> or even mention <redacted> for that matter. I was discussing <redacted> in the open game chat and was told that bringing up <redacted> can lead to even more severe <redacted>. Why can't we talk about <redacted>? I dunno, but apparently discussing <redacted> is a big no-no. And since I don't want to be <redacted> again, don't ask me about being <redacted> because I won't be able tell you about my <redacted>, what I did to be <redacted>, or how you can avoid being <redacted> yourself.
And now I'm getting...

I've got a ticket in right now that I fear will not be dealt with successfully.
I entered a DC Sealed and was at the Build Force phase. i was going through and looking at different force arrangements trying to decide on one. When it got to 2:17 until the match started it suddenly started the match and made me play with the team that I was just starting to disband for a different one. I had managed to remove ONE figure from that arrangement, so I was forced to play with an underpowered, unwanted team. Needless to say I got my rear kicked in the first round.
Now I don't mind losing, I do enough of it. But I don't want to eat a loss because of a bug. I never went near the SUBMIT button, so it had no team saved for me for the tourney period. Talk about seeing red.
Anyway I put in a ticket asking to be refunded the tourney fee. I do NOT think I will get that refund. Which is why I will never play in another paid tourney again.
I had a bug once in one of the Marvel Sealed tournaments where I built my team... and then when the game started I had just one figure on my team. GSX Beast is a good figure, but he's not good enough to beat an entire team by himself. Got a refund for that even though I was still able to play. Fingers crossed for you.
Heh. I had a team built named "Shard", for the Shard tourney, (duh!). I didn't like that team (of COURSE, I lost without hitting my opponent) So, I made my cheese team on someone's suggestion (Crawler, Scarlet Witch, Prof X and Doombot). I resaved that one as "Shard".
Went into the next tourney, and glitchy glitch.....the team reverted to the ORIGINAL Shard.

So, tonight my ban time expired (again). I go to the suggestions forum and post...

This is more of a board/forum suggestion than a game suggestion. Not sure if it belongs here but there's really no other place to put it.
I now have 11 warning points for RoC (Rules of Conduct) violations... because I stated that I was banned on the forums. Whatever. It's not the point of this post (and, in all seriousness, I hope the forum moderators take my suggestion for what it is... an improvement... and not ban me again for saying I was banned... although I fully expect it'll happen).
The point of the post is this... when I've gotten the infractions, I get a PM notifying me that I've received the infraction. But that doesn't really do me much good when I'm also banned on top of it. So is it possible to set the forum software to send an email about the infraction rather than just the PM?? If both (email & PM) could be done, I think that would be best and cover all bases.
I checked two minutes later. It was gone.
I give up. It's too bad that the people behind HCO have made HCO such a thouroughly unenjoyable experience.
