They could just do the refit, not the A, and do Arena tourneys. V Ger would be the closest link to the Borg, Roddenberry hinted about the link, and other books have connected the two. Era specific is fun. You haven't really played until you watch the Enterprise chew through a fleet of D7s, and take on Chang. It plays like it should. They made a game where older era stuff is competitive, and in its environment plays great. But ship to ship the next gen stuff plays like it should. The crew are the difference. Never give kirk a chance to recover, that ship will surprise anybody. Arena lends itself very well to thematic play. The Tholian ship is a huge jump for Attack wing over Tactics. Unless Tactics 4 has something so awesome I can't say no, I am essentially done with it, in favor of Attack wing.
Unless the Enterprise has a crappy helmsmen aboard, that ship can take a serious beating. I for one hope for more tos stuff, just to play out some events and have a fun campaign. My favorite era. I would even play the 22nd Century stuff with it.
Not saying I don't want the Prometheus I just think it'd be weird in a Borg release.
Well there are going to be Federation releases (Wave 5's Vulcan is either going to to be Independent or, more likely, Federation)......can you think of 3-4 more Federation ships that make more sense to appear during the Borg events?
That's an actual question, by the way, my geek quota has been reached. .....are there any other Federation ships that would make sense to show up at the time (thought that isn't the only reason to release the, I would figure it would factor in somewhat).
At least the Promethius has been selected to be in both Tactics I and in Fleet Captains......so it's one of the go to ships......maybe?

Not connected to the Borg (or not that I know of, at least....from the sounds of it I'm sure there might be a book like that though ) but just to include a OS release during the speculated next event......as you are proof there are some people who will focus on the OS and it could be good planing to ensure you have at least 1 key release during the event to play with new stuff.
Thats my thinking......but looking over at my full cup of coffee I can't claim it to be well thought out.
It is almost upon us! Are you prepared for the Quarmageddon?

The Thunderchild (Akira) would be a completely new sculpt, but a Borg related ship none the less, the Yeager (Saber Class) was at the Battle of Sector 001 (First Contact), Budapest (Norway, another new sculpt), and Appalachia (Steamrunner, also new sculpt). The rest would be re-releases of older ships. Saratoga (Miranda), Challenger (Galaxy), Lexington (Nebula) and so on.
However you are correct that there was a Prometheus class ship at the point where Voyager returns from the Delta Quadrant. (Just watched that last bit of Engame for fun ) So there is a little bit of connection.

I was thinking more along the lines that The Doctor (EMH 1.0) being sent to the Prometheus and the EMH 2.0* team up to defeat the Romulans......as the Voyager connection......but that works as well.
*And that EMH was a dick! ;p

Well, also the prometheus class debuted on voyager. Tenuous connection, yes but still a connection

What about the Enterprise-E? I haven't seen it mentioned here, yet, but it was in use by Star Trek: First Contact, so there's an obvious tie to the Borg, plus the sculpt is done and has been used by WK before.
There's no pressing need for repeats of the existing TNG crew, but you wouldn't really need much, or maybe even any, overlap. Riker as a crew upgrade instead of a captain, Crusher, Lt. Hawk, maybe Guinan or Troi.

That was mentioned a page or two ago in the same convo that started the Prometheus and Ent-A talk.
Gotcha. For a Borg event I'd assume they'd do Fed ships with more ties to the Borg, such as the Saratoga (Miranda) or the Thunderchild (Akira).
I would love to see an Akira class show up here first just to give our game a little more leg up on Tactics

I would so love an Akira class, she is my favorite right after the Defiant and I wouldn't care which they put out. I like the fact that Starfleet is going with the lie that they are not military. Beautiful look and lines.
Wel if they are doing Borg things they have the partially Assimilated Enterprise D and other ships like that in Tactics III to choose and use as possible LE's. And thinking about it that would be the only way I would want those ships in the game.
