It says she can use the power until she chooses again.
I know it does, but that doesn't have any bearing on her trait not being optional at all.
"(Special) Red Solid Light Constructs: At the beginning of your turn, choose one: Blades/Claws/Fangs, Empower, or Energy Shield/Deflection. Cerise can use the chosen power until she chooses again."
There is no "may" involved, there's no "give Cerise a free action" clause either. It happens automatically at the start of your turn and "I don't want to pick anything" isn't one of the offered options

Fantomex got a DFD from the Perplex that saved Cerise's bacon earlier. Just noticed that.
Uncanny X-Men Turn 7A:
1) Fantomex moves 9 to Q16. (Improved Movement going up through the side door then down)
2) Psylocke uses Mind Control on Saul.
-10AV vs 12DV. Need anything but a crit miss.
-Attack roll is......11. lol. Wish I wasn't burning these high rolls!
-Saul is going to free action move into his own firey demise in the bush at S7.
-1 SA to Psylocke.

The LoF is drawn from EVA in M14 to square R15. (Shuma's bottom left square) You can draw LoF to any square of a multi-base figure, and the rest of that base does not block LoF to or from that square.
ATTACKING AND MULTI-BASE
CHARACTERS
When attacking or drawing a line of fire to or from a multi-base character, the player attacking or drawing the line of fire can choose to attack or draw the line of fire to or from any one square occupied by the multi-base character. When attacking a character on the same elevation, a line of fire to another character will be blocked if it crosses any square occupied by a multi-base character. One square of a multi-base character will not block the line of fire from another square it occupies. When a multi-base character’s attack or line of fire involves multiple targets, each target may have a line of fire drawn from a different square, as long as each square is one that the multi-base character occupies.
(I forgot to note in the partial turn that the BFC deals 1 damage to Shuma, but is reduced to zero by Impervious.)

Shuma cannot use Flurry to destroy that particular wall using a close combat attack.

Even though Shuma considers the square adjacent for the purposes of Flurry, destroying the wall still requires the wall to be on the edge of an occupied square. (Otherwise anyone could destroy a wall on the opposite side of adjacent square, even if they aren't next to it)
When you pulled this trick earlier in Turn 2 with the Flurry, you were actually adjacent to the wall you destroyed, thus it was ok.
That's not a trivial monkey wrench in my plans. I may not have the time tonight to figure out what I want to do on my turn, but should be able to put up my next turn by lunchtime tomorrow. Sorry about the delay.
