I'm somewhat confused by your rolls. Jean is pushed, how is she attacking the crows? I assume those rolls were from Beast, but he cannot be PCed from his position. Why did Cyclops attack before rolling Shape Change? Heavy objects can only be thrown 4 squares. Oh, and Cyclops needs to take a Mystics damage.

Great shot with Cyclops, BTW. I always get those line of sights wrong.

Those rolls were from before this turn, Beast hasn't attacked yet. I'll clear up the wording for the rest of my turn, but it starts with Cyclops' shot. The HO being only able to be thrown 4 squares is a new Winter Soldier rule that -just- came out, so it won't come into effect until Game 1.

Y'know, regardless of stats, this is a really close game. Everyone is taking quite the beating. That Vampire Zuvembie and Scarecrow alone I'm pretty sure could trounce my entire team.

"Why do you defend her? She has never appreciated you." Cyclops turns his gaze upon the Black Queen. Uses RCE for +2 DV (no EE). 10 AV vs 12 DV, needs a 3. Roll is [5, 5], hits for 4. The Black Queen is blasted from behind and slumps to the floor, a smoking ruin.

Ya know, this game has just been one long series of positioning miscalculations for me -- like for instance not realizing Colossus was actually on the hindering terrain. Man, I'm out of practice. I thought I had learned this lesson long ago against DBaurs, ironically enough at the hands of the Ultimate X-men and Professor X. Guess not.

I'm just disappointed with myself.

Disciples of the Darkhold Turn 9:

1) Infused with power, the vampire zuvembi flies past Cyclops at supernatural speed, wretches the stone altar off the Conjuring room floor and then swoops past him again to G-17.

2) Unable to follow the swift movements of Angel, Calypso decides to back away. Breaks away -- 4, succeeds. She staggers through the doorway to F-15. The Yoruba Spirit Drum falls silent as she takes a click for the push.

3) Scott hears a sweet, whispered voice from behind him. "Warrior ..." Lorelei mind controls Cyclops. Shape Change roll is -- 2, fails. 9 AV vs 16 DV, needs a 7. Roll is [6, 3], hits. He once more succumbs to mental manipulation.

"Your animal offends me with its foul stench, take care of it." Cyclops eyes Beast's back and let's rip with the full force of his eye beams -- +2 damage. Beast's Shape Change -- 2, fails. 10 AV vs 16 DV, needs a 6. Roll is [6, 3], hits. Beast's Super Senses roll -- 6, he feels it coming and ducks.

Lorelei gains 1 SA.

If Cyclops theme teamed rerolled, then he gets an action for that and cannot then make another attack on Lorelie. That's how I understood theme
PC.

You can't use Theme PC with a character if he's already taken a non-free action during the turn, but nothing prevents you from taking an action *after* you've used Theme PC.

Seriously? But that means he can take two action tokens in one turn. That doesn't sense, does it?

Well, there goes your theory. Vampire zuvembi and Scarecrow cannot in fact take on your whole team by themselves.

It's not so much two actions (for instance, Theme PC doesn't count against your action total), as it is self Incapacitate.

In all fairness, I got -really- lucky, and Colossus and I are drift compatible. He's like, my chosen piece in life.
