Ystina; the Shining Knight had decided to stay on with King Arthur in Camelot. After she, along with the Black Knight had been defeated by Lancelot and Gawaine in the jousting tournament the two had revealed who they were and offered their services to King Arthur.

This version of Camelot was not familiar with Dane Whitman's ancestor Sir Percy of Scandia and neither were they familiar with Ystina's family.

It was clear that this Camelot was unrelated to either the Marvel or DC universe.

Still Ystina felt more comfortable there then in London and chose to stay there while Dane Whitman agreed to keep checking in.

Deadman approached the Phantom Stranger with his new friend Lobster Johnson beside him.

"So you're here too(!?!) Have you investigated what happened to the Spectre yet?"

"No, I haven't heard about that."

Apparently the Spectre fought somebody called Galactus and hasn't been heard from since."

"What? Here?"

"That's right."

Alarmed, the Phantom Stranger departed to try to find traces of the Spectre.

Day 52: Evening; in the jungles of Wakanda, on a replicated Earth in an alternate reality.

Dream Girl's fears came true. Starro appeared and with him, enslaved versions of Green Arrow(Oliver Queen), Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Flash (Barry Allen) and Aquaman circa 1960s.

Starfish managed to find their way to several Wakandan residents and some wildlife.

At the appearance of Starro, all the superheroes waiting mobilized.

The Avengers had vestigial memories of Starro and the Scarlet Witch was sent for,

The heroes mobilized against Starro and after an extended battle managed to drive the creature off into space where the heroes that could survive in space carried on the fight.

Back in Wakanda attempts were made to free the four Justice Leaguers along with several heroes that had been captured by the Starfish drones that Starro used to capture more thralls, however these heroes were not willing to be saved without a fight.

What was worse was that the Starro drones were working toward Gorilla City and Khandaq which was Black Adam's home.

The Starro phenomenon spread quickly, egged on by the Midnight Rambler who was teleporting Starro drones to different regions around the makeshift world. Tokyo, London, Moscow, Beijing, Berlin, and Toronto were all inundated and the heroes and villains that occupied those cities along with the many U.S. cities that had been replicated were forced to mobilize to try to save their cities.

In Berlin Torquemada, Baron Strucker, Baron Zemo (the elder), Arnim Zola, Major Maxim, Natalia Kassle, and the Stix Brothers were forced to cope with the Starro drones.

In Toronto, Alpha Flight with Wolverine mobilized.

In Moscow, the Red Ghost and his super apes, Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo and the many Rocket Reds were battling the Starro drones with reasonable success, with only the super apes really being vulnerable to capture by the drones, but the Red Ghost was able to fend those threats to his apes off with his power.

In Beijing; Mandarin, Radioactive Man, Fin Fang Foom and August General in Iron stepped in to fight away the drones.

In Tokyo; Sunfire, Dr. Light, Shi, Tomoe, Electra, The reformed Noh assassins, and Boon all did what they could to fight the Starro drones.

Silver Samurai and the Hand along with Yukio and the Death Demon were forced to fight.

Masahiro Arashi had to order the Yakuza to try to help against the common threat.

In London, the Black Knight, Sersi, Lionheart, Captain Britain, the Shining Knight, Union Jack (Joey Chapman) and Shang Chi fought the threat of Starro's drone starfish.

Even Magneto and his Brotherhood of (Evil) Mutants were forced to cope with the threat on Magneto's island in the Atlantic.

The U.S. cities were not spared, Central City, Metropolis, Gotham City, Hub City, Opal City, Bludhaven, Star City, Capital City, New York City, Chicago, Des Moines, even Cheyenne were struck.

Themiscyra was not spared. Wonder Woman returned from New Genesis just in time to help. She was aided by Witchblade, Cyblade, Angelus, Yellowjacket, Fury and Nubia.

Latveria, Markovia and Symkaria were hit.

The Teen Titans actually found common cause with Doom and his minions.

Doom even unleashed the Parasite to deal with the Starro drones.

John Stewart finished escorting the Challengers of the Unknown to the Facility to meet with Nick Fury, Sarge Steel and Cameron Chase.

As he returned, his ring warned him of Starro's drones and John found himself on Magneto's Island fighting with Magneto's forces against Starro's drones.

John was fighting side by side with, Magneto, Mystique, Destiny, Sabertooth, Whirlwind, the Toad and Avalanche.

The Phantom Stranger visited Galactus to take his measure.

After visiting with Stardust; who threatened to destroy the Phantom Stranger, he learned that a former herald had restored Galactus after an epic battle between the world Eater and the Spectre. Stardust gloated that her master had completely destroyed the Spectre.

The Phantom Stranger was not so sure and decided to travel to Shiar Space where the epic battle took place.

In Space, it was the Legion of Superheroes, Guy Gardner, Firestorm, Jade and Obsidian against Starro himself and they managed to force Starro to flee.

As Starro fled, the Starro drones lost their connection and released their victims.

However, the enthralled Green Lantern collected the Flash, Aquaman and Green Arrow thralls and took them in a ring bubble to catch up with Starro and join it for future encounters.

After the Challengers were debriefed they flew to Challengers mountain and were happy to see it was still there.

They moved in immediately,


As it happened, Challengers mountain was very close to the Vault.
