Dynasty leagues are leagues where your team stays the same from year to year. And there's a 1st year player draft each year where the draft is in reverse order of the previous years standings (Last drafts first, first drafts last)

Keeper League operates just like a redraft league (one where you draft every year), but there's a certain number of players (1-3 depending on the league) where you can either keep them for free or at the same round you drafted them at the year before.

Usually more long term commitment and makes you feel more invested in the league. In theory anyway, like I said...I gots no friends.

I would definitely play a dynasty league with people I "know". Even if it was just folks from here or people connected to them.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that as a knock at all. Even my two "competitive" leagues are still pretty laid back.

I would *love* to play in a dynasty league though... This off-season I made rules for one and everything. Salary Cap, rookie draft, slow 'auction ' representing free agency, the works. I just don't know enough people who'd be interested in one (especially on top of their existing leagues).

Well mark me down as one and you'd probably pick up a few others from here. Especially with it being a new dynasty.

I'm currently in 5 leagues if you count my 2 Fantasy Premier League entries and I would be game.

I am a creature of habit who abhors change of any kind, so I prefer redraft leagues. But I would try a "light" dynasty league where you get to keep 1-2 guys if you guys want to change the rules up a bit this year. I refuse to do an auction draft however. That is where I draw the line.

That's just a keeper league. Those can be cool, but I'm ready for full dynasty!

Don't knock auctions until you try them! One of my leagues switched to auction for the first time last year and it was a big hit. One of the guys who was the biggest opponent to doing an auction ended up being one of the guys who enjoyed it the most. It's nice to be able to have a little more control over your destiny.

I like auction leagues with the caveat that all players have to be there with no computer auto-draft. HCRealms has had leagues in the past and some of the autodraft bots really screwed things up. But I'm game for whatever. Keeper, dynasty, redraft, anything. It's Fantasy Football and that's good enough for me.

In my soccer league, you get a budget of 100m for 15 players. Players cost varying amounts depending on past performance, current form, team they play for, etc... So theoretically everyone can have the same team since you're competing for points on a weekly basis. It's a totally different system from even snake or auction drafting but still fun.

I think I won the auction draft, granted I won because I did great late season waiver wire pick ups (something I couldn't do well last year). But the auction is a different animal.

Yeah, auction drafts only really work if everyone is there. But overall I do prefer them to snake draft.

If we want to do an Auction draft, I think Yahoo supports that (need to check) but we would need to have EVERYONE online.

That being said, if peeps could say what days/times work for them (and more importantly DON'T) work for them

Thursday and Saturday nights are pretty much right out. Otherwise I'm good.

I like auction to a point, but more in Baseball than Football, it's too hard to value football with homers. and with people missing our drafts, I wouldn't feel comfortable with an auction.

It depends on the day, but I should be able to draft later in the evening. Could be rough though.
