In an event with particularly embarrassing dice rolls (SNIP) I thought I saw some side-eye from the other force, but up to that point in the game there had not been many ⚃⚄⚅ rolled by my team.
I'm not going to do the math but my feeling/experience is that the set's AVs are... average, and get bumped up with the right conditions (rare front-loaded Perplex, 6-figures on the SinSyn team, etc.). While the defenses tend to stay high. You've got a 30-50 point character and they're on click 4 and they STILL have a 17 defense (sometimes with ES/D or CR on top of that). Meanwhile I've lost a character and Rhino is now trying to roll 7/8/9s and there's a lot of whiffs.
Point being it's making me urge our Primer readers to look at the ratings of Probability Control pieces in this set and bump them up a notch. I'd say the same thing about the few pieces with the PD team ability, if you're lucky enough to pull a solid range-heavy team.
My H/W link does not reflect the wants for my collection, it is a list of figures that I already have, but still "want" to play.

Good advice. I would slightly discount the boost to ranged attacks and instead concentrate on boosts that work during close combat...or that work during both (obviously). I had a team with some range (supported by a Blue Union Jack) but the opposing teams were on me very quickly, despite me picking maps that really slowed them down. Compared to the many ways to make close multiple combat attacks (Flurry, adjacency v. Line-of-Fire) I think this is a much stronger close-combat set than others.
As far as bonuses/boosts: President Osborn's boost to a bodyguard is crazy good, and The Hydra boosts can work provided they are supporting the right figures. The Sinister Six United is a real thing in sealed play: I had the magic six boost in 3 of 3 games, and I've faced two different teams that had the +1 boost to all combat values as well. I have not found the "Terragenesis Twice" to be reliable in sealed. The Earth X Inhumans may be able to support each other with it in constructed, but the placement of Perplex on their own dials isn't optimal for self-support.
Outside of sealed: I'm thinking about the obvious President Luthor/President Osborne team-up for some silly bodyguard action.

Agree. I went 1-2 in my tournament. My one win was against a ranged team (Venom Rocket Racoon of all pieces), and my two losses were knockdown dragouts that could've gone either way depending on dice, against teams that were entirely close combat.
