Looks like the debate is at an end, with Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan as the winner. Tune in next week, same Mai channel, same Ishizu time, for another exciting adventure.
I still think we can abuse Elemental Mistress Doriado and Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan. The idea I have is a bit involved and hard to set up, but it could work.
Summon Elemental Mistress Doriado with Mask of Darkness and Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan face down on the field.
Play Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan and draw two cards from your deck.
Flip Mask of Darkness and get Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan back.
Summon Tsukyomi and flip Mask of Darkness face down.
Set Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan.
Basically we now have a Raigeki, Harpie's Feather Duster, Delinquent Duo, and Pot of Greed in trap form. It would be great to be able to use any of these each turn. Think of the card advantage you could have.
alriiiiiiight! I was hoping Fu rin ka zan would be the one that works. Elemental burst is nice and all but I can't see running it now. That's 5 cards saacrificed..and usually your opponent RARELY has more than 3-4 cards set, so at best, you would be getting an even trade off.
Yeah, with this small victory, I have made a decided shift in some of the cards in my Vegas Archfiend deck. I was running Fanny in the Archfiend deck since I had all the elements available, swapping out Shadowknights for Homunculous the Alchemic Being since I didn't like the Shadowknight cost. I've only pulled the combo off once or twice, but am still ever vigalant 8^D
The "honorable" Mazera DeVille I was running with the archfiends will get swapped out for a Zorc/Dryad (or Mistress since she works too) element. A couple Manjus and the rituals will swap out nicely, and Zorc gives me more cards to roll with for added fun.
What will be REALLY interesting to see is if this card gets abused to the point of restriction. I doubt it will happen, considering you still need to perform a ritual to get the ball rolling, but who knows, there are always ways to speed that process up 8^D
I doubt this card will be abused to the point of restriction. Most people do not like Ritual Monsters, because you have to give away too many resources to play them, a monster, a spell, and the Ritual monster itself.
Don't get me wrong, this isn't going to stop me from trying to use these two cards to their potential. I just think the deck will need to be more focused than most people will want.
honestly, rituals are probably the fastest of the once-'unuseable' decktypes (fusion, Ritual, Guardian, Union)
Manju is extremely easy to use, and if you're running 3 manju, 3 ritual and 3 ritual-monster, this combination should be MORE than easy to pull off, as that's about 25% of your deck, frighteningly enough, and sicne you draw about 15% of your deck ON TURN ONE AUTOMATICALLY, manju is a thinner, PoG and GC are rampant, you SHOULD be pulling off this combo in the first 2 turns on a regular basis. consider that FRKZ is a trap, you'll be running 3 of those, and this'll be a very very swift deck.
the issue i see is that your deck focuses ont eh Dyad/Mistress, and you onyl get 3.... but there IS the premature burial jsut for rituals, so who knows, maybe.
That would be Fulfillment of the Contract. Not quite as good as Premature Burial since the monster is removed from play if Fulfillment of the Contract is destroyed. Of course you're probably just more interested in using the monster for Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan and you have multiple copies anyway.
Nice thing would be to add on Ritual Weapon. An extra 1500 ATK is pretty well better then any other equip, maybe rivaling United We Stand or Mage Power for this deck type..
My basic Deck idea for Elements, which I will use and tweak when I get the dryads.
Dryads (3)
Her Ritual (3)
Homunculus (3)
Element Saurus (2)
Element Doom (2)
Element Dragon (2)
Mask of Darkness (2)
Manju (3)
BLS -Envoy ( this is a Big maybe... Cheap yes, but very usable)
FU Rin (3)
Fulfiullment of the Contract (2)
Ritual Weapon (2)
Pot of Greed
Premature
Call
Gracefull
D-Duo
and all that good stuff.
Youd also need lots of protection if you wanted to keep your Dryad Out.
Wabokus and Cylinder. Blah blah blah.
Hmm..the one I'm thinking of running will look somewhat like -
2x Dryad
2x Ritual
3x Manju
2x Shining Angel
2x Fussillier Dragon
2x Element Doom
2x Element Valkyrie
1x DD Warrior Lady
2x Mask of Darkness
1x Tsukiyomi
1x BLS
3x Fu-rin-ka-zan
2x Fullfillment of Contract
3x Scape Goats
2x Metamorphosis
2x Book of Moon
2x Messenger of Peace
1-2x Interdimensional Matter Transporter
The rest is filler. Basically, the book of moons and the Matter Transporter is to keep dryad alive, and I figured if you wanna have some abuse for those cards, why not throw in some fussilliers. This deck will probably need a lot of stall too, so I added some scape goats, and messenger of peace. And, since scape goats and fussillier are around, since this deck needs a little more removal and strong arm, I added in 2 metamorphosis. The rest is staples and stuff like that, so..yeah.
I think this can be a great deck to make. The only thing that needs work is keeping Doriado on the field. First, you can use IMT, but that means no field presence. Instead, a Heart of Clear Water helps. That allows it to stay on the field longer than usual.
In addition, as one mentioned, Ritual weapon works well. Combine that with Gravity Bind, and you are owning monsters.
Ritual Monsters needs sacrifices in order for their ritual spells to work. Besides Manju, other monsters like Spirit Reaper, Night Assailant, etc all fit the bill. Throwing in Spirit Reaper helps for field presence and tribute fodder for when the time is right in case Manju doesn't work out as tribute fodder.
I can see it now, Elemental Chaos. Nice ring to it. Along with Chaos Sorcerers or BLS (Bad Little Sissy), this will be the next best thing since sliced Bacon Lettuce Sandwiches.
With all the rest time this deck type has had since it's invention, there's bound to be more ideas around.
I wish they would make an all around ritual card that you could use for any monster. I'd love to make a dryad / reshef chaos deck, but I really wouldn't want to play BOTH of those monsters ritual cards. It would deffinately be interesting to see though. You'd have all the mosnter destruction, draw power, and whatever else you need all with just those 2. Then when they die, sacrifice them for the greater good....BLS :devious:
What will the future hold, we will never know. There might be a light version of Earth Chant or Contract with the Abyss (why did they make those type of ritual cards?) but until then, the greater good can pretty much come from Doriado herself.
Actually you can use Earth Chant for Elemental Mistress Doriado because her effect of being water, wind, fire, and earth is active whither shes in the deck, hand, field, graveyard, and removed from play area.
I thinking, how many Mistresses would be good for this deck? 1 and then have Fullfilment of the Contract, Premature Burial, and Call of the Haunted ready if she dies? Or 2? I'm thinking 1 since Manju will be in the deck in multiples and I'll be running Heart of Clear Water. Having 2 would be too much monsters sacrificing when summoning.
