i dunno, i love my assaults, but have never had the heart to use one in a real tourney. condisering my very first win was against angus drummond.

I had an assault mech vs and assault mech. Unfortunetly it was Angus vs Angus...wasnt too enthralling considering their the same person... but it is definetly a more relaxed...and quicker match

hmnnn. could this be like... a weakness to vtols???

high defence of the assults??? on average, vtols have an attack of 9... and the mechs have def of 22-23... thats a 13-14 that the vtols need to roll.

couldn't you just run up to the arty's long range(not arty) and be considered safe?

Assault mechs are the anti-cheese, they have a very hard time
winning in the smaller games and are still a handicap in larger pt games.

sometimes for HTHs or campaigns, me and a couple other people at the venue will drp in with assualt mechs or just heavy mechs, just for the fun of it. It works out very well.

very fun, and it is not that uncommon to see. just a blast to play.

Well, now that you mention it, round 3 was Caden Senn vs. Erabee Childs. Surprisingly, the 2 HL players fielding big Mechs were the ones in the finals.

Hmm, is it easier to hit a giant that is comprised of a mass of points, or is it easier to hunt down a large group of infantry, with the same point cost.

well Assault mech in 300 pts is a chesse .................................................................................................... ..... back in the begining when the deep watter still there

for ppl that doesn't know :
use paladin atlas , blow something and go hide in the deep watter for the rest of the game (nothing can dammage you unless it has 5+ dmg, nor infantry can base u to capture )

that when assault mech is chesse but not anymore since after they ban the deep water, especially with artie *especially keneth*
now it hard to use assult mech (in factions war i dammage Erin Johnson near salvage with kenneth in 50 min )
