Originally posted by davenappy I'm just going by what I see on display at various NYC comics and gaming stores that I frequent, and from what those retailers and salespeople are telling me. They're getting killed on Indyclix. There are racks and pegs full of Indyclix product, just sitting there. I am just speculating when it comes to sales on a more substantial level.
I agree, having Wizardworld Texas roll around as a place for an early release had a lot to do with it, as did my own reason. No need to roll your eyes at me.
I would still have caution to say that the reason for the move up in release is do to a stockpile of Indy, even if it that is the case. Unfortunately, unless we hear it from WizKids we won't know anyway, and I doubt they're going to come out and say they undersold Indy and that's the reason. Regardless, I stand by my rolling of eyes.
maybe emperor norton rushed them a little. Hey this is a big community, and about half of it saw what was comming out already, might as well put it out. I don't have a business degree or anything but it makes sense to me. We are not gonna get more hyped than we are now, cash in on the buzz.
I wonder if this means there will be more or less product available on Wednesday than with previous releases. The store I shop at is generally undershipped by about 75% on their release-day orders of HeroClix. I wonder if this will be the case for Critical Mass.

I would have been more inclined to care, if not for the fact that when most of the US players tried to trade for the UK only Indy pieces most of their offers fell on deaf ears, while a lot of UK players ran straight to ebay to sell them for as much as they could get (I don't blame them for doing that).
Good!! Earlier release means I get a quicker chance to BUST OPEN AN AVENGERS HEAD!!! Yeah!! Can't wait for a chance to test my mettle against these new figs!
This is fantastic news. Its so very rare in the gaming world for a company to be on time for a due date, let alone to exceed the due date and go for an earlier release. Good job, WK!
The whole conspiracy theory thing... Indy not selling well... what's the point? Aren't we all just happy to get the next Marvel set ahead of time?
It'll be interesting to see just how many local shops have product ready to go the day before Thanksgiving, though...
