Originally posted by therose Sadly, I think the sculpt is pretty accurate, missing only the famous twin pods on the back. Not that I'm impressed, as it still does look like toothpick arms & legs between lumps of clay.
If you take a look at the Wizkids site, it does have the twin pods on the back.
it's a medium, and as such i'm thinking it's a little cheap. I would imagine the Liao version would have good armor since their model is packing stealth armor.
I'm still trying to figure out why they insist on putting a vent rating of 1 on mechs. Vent 1 means Vent 0 since you can just not act and lose a token + get a click of cooling.

is it a medium or a heavy
Given the big deal made over the "Project Phoenix" TRO for CBT, I'd expect all of the Project Phoenix 'Mechs to come out for MWDA eventually (and sooner rather than later).
For that matter, given time, I expect WizKids would like to eventually release all the old CBT 'Mechs in MWDA - but we'll see if they can ever achieve that goal ;)

To address how cheap this medium is, I'd point out the Medium-weight Legionnaires are in the same price range. It does seem that they've given up a few clicks of life in order to get that 10 attack, though... 8 or 9 clicks isn't all that much for a Medium Battlemech (8 clicks is the same as the SS Locust). I think that makes the cost reasonable.
I'm aware that the lego is a medium, however you can see why it's so cheap with only 1 gun, a big minimum range, and a narrow minimum range.
an 8 click medium is kind of rediculous, unless it's banson's raiders. I mean, on most of those mechs, a 5-6 point attack puts you right into salvage. Kind of crazy to think that a medium is that fragile.
I'm going to assume that the reason the HL didn't get one is for the same reason that the DF didn't get Kage Battle Armor when it came out. As it ended up being an LE for the faction. Maybe before all is said and done the HL will get one or heck even two as LE's and then maybe even a regular in the next set. Who's knows those dang wizkids work in mysterious ways....

There actually is a very rare use of a 1 Vent. It only works on certain 'Mechs though.
Take a shutdown 'Mech in water. Give it a vent order cooling a click to a restart roll. You fail this roll, and then take the click of cooling at the end of the turn from water. If this has another restart roll then you get two chances to restart in a turn. If you just waited until the end of the turn, you'd get two clicks of cooling at once and only one restart roll.
I don't think I've ever seen it in a game and probably never will. However, it does potentially have a use.
I must say the scuplt looks great! It doesn't matter if the Hls did not get one or the stats suck , as long I can get my hands on the scuplt!
Will we be getting an ARCHER ? We already have the WArhammer, Marauder , Rifleman, Phoenix hawk, so it is a matter of time before we see an Archer (who knows, it might be in this set).

Well, the Lego has 11-12 clicks, vs. the Phoenix Hawk having 8-9 (I'm assuming the 8 clicks is the BR version, just like the 11 was for the BR Lego). So, instead of getting one gun with a large minimum range, and a 9 attack, the Phoenix Hawk gets fewer clicks, but a 0/14" range, two ranged weapons, and a 10 attack.
Fine, it may seem to not make much sense from a CBT perspective, but from a gameplay perspective, the cost seems completely reasonable.
