Where did you get the cost of a point of Clan BA? Because I'm pretty sure the Elementals are more expensive, and I KNOW they are worth more BP.

Actually - in this age, Many Battle Armor Infantry are Clan Elementals - including Kage BA (Its in a campaing fluff somewhere). Thing is, many points are some Elementals+normal humans. Why does Bannson's have CBAs? because he bought them from Clan Sea Fox. Then its fitted for the trooper that will use it and presto!

This is problably why we no longer have Elemantal suits, and have Clan Battle Armor - CBAs can be fitted for different-sized warriors, while Elemantal suits required elementals - but could, with difficulty, be fitted to general humans.

Remember that after the jihad Clan and IS armies were shattered, they had to rebuild somehow. Thats why you got so many freebirth in clan toumans - After so much destruction, they just had to get warriors - so they recruited anyone who had the requirements.

Plus, add in that when the HPG shutdown, every faction scrambled for what they could get - which is why you see koshis in the hands of highlanders, and firestarters in the hands of Spirit Cats, Arbalests in the hands of BR, etc.
It was, in great majority, ROTS equipment, it was simply "borrowed" for the factions.

I don't think an Elemental could fit into a Kage Suit...they were designed by the Dracs for normal sized humans.

Its one thing to say that a normal sized human can fit into a larger suit of armor with some fitting, but quite another to say that an elemental can fit into a suit of armor for a normal human ;)

that's the Kage Battle Armour sneak peek fluff. i dont know, maybe 'elemental' refers not to huge trueborn clan infantry in particular, but just to clan infantry in general.

As for someone (I think it was Warflail) That questioned the G/V/E grouping for it...Perhapse it could go:

JF Green/ SC Vet/ JF Vet/ SW Elite (or swicth the JF Vet for the SW Elite, basically I gave SW the :^^^: B/C they have like...2 :^^^: Infantry...) Anyways...

The stats would stay nice and stable (especially in Deffence and Attack, where Dammage would decrease at a rate similar to the Kanazuchi BA Desigins...They'd likely ALL have 7 clicks...costing from 18-22 points, the ones with ballistic would likely carry Su-AP, where the Energy Versions might switch between Pulse and Flamers...All-In-All they'd be pretty sweet ^_^

There are at least a few Elementals still running around in DA. From the dossier for Kara's Scorchers:

I like to think the highlanders acquired the koshis as spoils of war from their various battles with Clan Smoke Jaguar way back when.

Maybe the Kage BA that was mentioned in the fluff was a bigger version, big enough to fit an elemental in.

But then anyways... did the fluff make sense even one time?
From what I understand is that the "ClanBA" is a new battle armor design of the Jihad or pre-Jihad era. It is not that versatile as a normal Elemental BA (the Toad), but it is technically a little bit more advanced, and it can be adjusted in size to its wearer. That's why Swordsworn and Bannson's Raiders can wear them.
Because of this adjustability, the Sea Foxex could sell it to almost every house and faction in the IS and Clans... but it is also cheaper.

The normal Toad BA could only be changed in size by great affort, and is normally piloted by a Clan Elemental who is BIG. That's why nobody uses it in the IS.... too big, to expensive to adjust. I'm pretty sure the Spirit Cats and the Steel Wolves don't have access to Iron Wombs, so they use ""normal-sized" warriors in ClanBAs.

If the Jade Falcons or the Nova Cats or the real Clan Wolf would come, it would be logical that they get real Toads.

I have absolutely NO way to explain Elemental in a Kage suit.

Every one has a point. the Clan battle Armor is an invadinge clan update of Elemental armor buit for ground assaults.

classic elemental armor was built to be used in vaccum, undersea, in low presssure environments, anywhere. it was a jack of all trades master of none and they were tough lil SOBs. they could survive an AC 10 hit (though they would not be happy)
