But everyone I know hates Crow it seems, my friends warn me if I get that LE figure (I cant anyway because the book was a gift, no sales reciept -_-) they'll force me to play it every game so they can destroy it, there is also talk of melting it down, but that had better just be a joke. Then again they read (And liked) the Proving Grounds, so I suppose they know some things about him I dont.
MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD, nothing worse than what you've already read from me and everyone else :P
But did Crow really die? It seems logical that that sort of blast would uh ... well end anyone's life, but the mech they offer him in is a Blade, in the book he pilots a Tundra Wolf, so ... maybe he'll come back?
Given a choice between the two, I'd rather have seen Kurst's mech go down in the end, that would have made the whole book worth reading. I'd have had a big "Nny" smile on my face. I'm *hoping* for a Kurst LE for the same reason my friends warn me not to get the Crow LE, I *want* to beat him down, again, and again, and again, possibly with Crow's Blade (which I'll find a way to get just to spite them!) ... then I'll get a life.
This book is one of the better out of the Dark Age series (I liked it more than Call to Arms) though in the end it caused me to dislike the Republic even more than I did before. Their whole system seems ripe with cancer, their governors are in it for themselves, they dont seem to care about anything else, (Does that witch who sold out to Liao really think popular support is going to mean anything when Daoshen sends one of his own people to rule the world? Idiot) soldiers are less than loyal and cowards to boot, people insist that the Republic wont die because of it's size, but I say to you if all the Republic's troops are like the ones you see in this book they're dead already. As I see it, without an inoprotune purge at this point the Republic cant recover, they can at best simply manage their damage.
Anyway I'm sure Bannson will find a way to turn this to his advantage, Daoshen just doesnt impress me as much as Sun-Tzu, I think Bannson might just be able to match or outsmart him. Regardless of whether or not Ki-linn is a looker (Of course I'd hope for Bannson's sake that she is) Bannson might well have her delt with in a manner that would find himself blameless. Say Dagger Di goes mad with jealousy and kills the woman, and Bannson in turn has her eliminated. Would it matter that Dagger wasnt really in love with Bannson? Who cares? Dead women tell no tales. Further Bannson might even find an ally in his new wife, like Alexander Davion and that Varnay chick. Maybe Ki-linn wants to see her husband rule over the Confederation as Chancellor?

Also, don't mechs have an auto eject mechanizim for when the fusion engine is going out? wouldn't dainiel have to over ride it?
The auto-eject mechanism can be disabled by the Mechwarrior. Besides, there's more than ample reason to believe that Peterson chose to die in his 'Mech than to live to face a jury.
For those of you who have been wanting a Kurst LE, for whatever purposes, make sure you play in (and win) the National Qualifier tournament the first weekend in March. Kurst is the winner's prize and another Longbow (don't know the faction yet) is the Fellowship.

Because his Blade was destroyed on Terra in Service for the Dead. I don't think he's coming back.

Crow already came back. he's in By Temptations and by War.
I know that. The original poster knows that.

So my "His Blade was destroyed on Terra." was in answer to why he was in a Tundra Wolf in BT&BW. The "I don't think he's coming back." was referring to post-BT&BW.
You really should read and comprehend the original posts before you act all "I know something you don't know!"
