The problem with playing a mech albeit having the ability to assault order or shoot in base now is...crossing the field. Chikako needs to run before getting into range. Let's see you assault order with a token. Next turn you get 2 clicks of heat and the following you're dead in the water unless you want to risk an explosion. Now you can play water but that telegraphs where you are going. Add to the fact that most armies have DF Donars or flying TD formations and you are going to face a hammer to the artillery's proverbial anvil. I've played this game since Dark Age, gone to Nationals twice, won almost every Marquee, and after analyzing AOD rules, nothing has changed at the competitive level. Long live King Tank drop and Prince BR Sprint drop.

This thing had better have some serious heat effects. All the rest of the stats are worthy of a comperable 250 point pre AoD mech.

Ok here is me geeking out.
The root xanthos means yellow. In medicine things may be described as xanthochromic meaning yellow colored.
The mech sounds less intimidating when you think of it as the big yellow mech rather than "Xanthos"
