That game Clix @ss!!

I realize after reeading all your posts that i have no idea what the Hel you guys are talking about...

oh well, I'm still looking foward to the game. Hopefully it will be more strategic and tactical..

Hmmm... after re-reading all the information from the sneak-peeks I have a little idea about how mechs are going to be handled in the game:

Since they have "Vent Ratings" to represent heat dissipation, accumulate heat from pushing, and cost around 100pts at the least: does it make sense that they may be able to do multiple things in one turn?

Instead of the ol' MK "move or shoot" mentality we may see multiple actions for mechs, each one incrementing your mech's heat dial...

Man, I can hardly wait to see how this is going to work! :)

Well, the sneak preview of Mechwarrior: Dark Age in Inquest this month lists "Dragon's Fury," "Swordsworn" and "Steel Wolves" as three factions. They state "many of the factions are similiar, if not the same."

One of the things I like is that the scale announced will be N scale.

Assuming they don't ruin it with paper templates, that means we can use some cool rail-road terrain for buildings and stuff.

Bachman, and and another company (who's stuff is better but I can't remember their name) make pre-built and kit buildings in N-scale.

Get the industrial buildings for about $15-30 (with lights) and you can quickly build an industrial park.

You can also get people and vehicles in N-scale for a bit of scenic back-drop.

I'm into rail-roading so that's how I know this stuff.

I hope that's not true. It it is, may I ask WizKids of they want to keep driving themseleves into the hole with the CBT players. We get the announcement, and that sets their ratings back. For a few months we get little bits, and it sounds better. Then come th Atlas and Mad Cat pics, rating's go down again. New Mechs, vehicles, rules, rating goes back up. IF this is true, they will drop hard and fast.

yes...those wednesday reports are part of what makes the week bearable...although i long to see the Yu Huang...(if its even in the game)

THe closer the game gets to the release the more excited I get. I think that CBT players(of which I used to be one) need to all calm down and realise that this isn't the world they are used to, its the future(well the world they are used to is the future but you know what I mean). Of course the factions are going to be different, have you looked at a history of the inner sphere, heck just look at the last couple years of the timeline. Heck, there was an entire clan that got destroyed and not one of the little clans we hardly heard of(read: one of the ones that didn;'t invade the inner sphere) it was a relatively big one. This had huge ramifications on the game system as will the 60 year internim between the classic game and the "dark age". One of the things this does lead to which I always found the coolest aspect of any game that has a rich history is the ability for a worldwide campaign. Just think of it we get a map of the initial set of the game and they have league play and tourney play decide how the borders of the world change, several games have tried and successfully done this and the july campaign for mage knight is doing it to. I really think the possibilities for this game are endless. Unfortuately I can't make gen con for the first time since 95 this is shaping up to be one of the ones I am most looking forward to. I guess I won't get to be the first kid on my block with LEs from mechwarrior(which I bet they will have at gen con), oh well I guess it will have to be the marquee and getting gouged on ebay.

It was bound to happen.

So far this is the only piece I have seen that has been a bummer for me. I just don't like it. Hopefuly, I can trade it to some one else if I ever get that puppy in a booster.
