I like to hit them hard, (say amazon maybe?) then tie them up till you have crippled the rest of the army, remember that every click counts, as titans can not be healed.

I've made a mistake....
so, we are not talking about orc launchers (those guys with harpoon) but about OST....

I've killed one HOST yesterday, by attacking first with AD for 5 damage, and after charging with Uhlrik charger for 4 damage.
My opponent try to hit mu UC, but fails, I pass...
My opponent then try to disengage, done and take 1 damage...
But he can only move 6, so on my turn I charge with uhlrik, making othe 4 damages...
5+4+1+4= the catapult dies...
If my opponent didn't disengage, i can ever disengage the UC (2+ dice roll) and the hit with the amazon...
5+4+5=same result (ever he hit the UC with his attack :D )

Same result U can obtain with every 4+damage mounted charger (e.g orc captain, thunderdoom troll, and so on...)
