Did anyone else notice that the Unique in the Starter is the same as the one in the Bag o' MageKnight? For some reason I thought they were going to be different...
Oh yeah, and where's the Birthday Present Sneak Peek Exclusive?
The unique in the starter is a Starsdawn brother, EVERY STARTER COMES WITH THE SAME ONE, it's been sad all over man.
And if you haven't noticed, WK put up the price for boosters and starters like waaaaay back in the beginning of August I believe, boosters are still 6.99(woo!) and starters are now 19.99, which is still very respectable given how much more you get in a starter now than you did before.
However I am also very eagerly awaiting the wednesday preview, where are you!?
Folds,
I knew that all of the Uniques in the Starters were the same; what I didn't realize was that this Unique would also be the same as the product in the Bag o' Mage Knight. My understanding was that the 4 brothers would be: the demo fig from Gencon, the fig from the Bag o' Mage Knight, the fig from the Starter and one other. Apparently that's not the correct assumption...

Figures with 6" and 8" range, with 10" being "good"?
These figures are already dead unless we get a monofaction format.
20+ points for a figure with 1 damage?
Looks like the demo kit was pretty representative.
I think its great that there is sort of a "reset", but how will these figures stand up to 4 damage sweepers and stuff like that?
I really dont have anymore interest in filling my useless figures box, no matter how good they look.
Well, since 2.0 WILL be a major change from the old game, and likely result in an entirely different type of game, I am actually glad they do it "right" this time.
A damage value of 3+ should always have been rare and expensive, same goes for ranges with two digits.
Thinking of MK 2.0 as a standalone product, this is just the kind of unit design that is needed to keep the game more interesting. Couple lower damage output with the higher durability (i.e. more stable stats) units got in the later sets, and you will finally have a game where two or three sucessful first hits won΄t win you the game almost automatically.
