ill miss the ***solonavi channeler (for the points its better than the emerald warden, elemental priest and mystic draconum), crystal protectors (really cheap) and the also cheap elven acolyte.
I will miss the Spirit Takers, ran them quite often, ** or *** if I could spare a few points. I tried to base units that were marked so they would have to push to get away. I never surged with them, but I would push to sneak attack for 4 damage. I hit a Trix on a critical once, that was a great time.
I'll really miss 2 figures from Minions: Crystal Protectors and Thorn Maidens.
Crystal Protectors: One of the best support figures in the game - at 15 points, the Standard version has an 8 attack for her Healing, and is immune to all ranged attacks. Of course, there are some things in the game now that weren't there for MK 1.0, like 14" Charge figures and Storm Maul, which doesn't care if it can see you or not. Still, for 15 points, the risk of losing your CP to one of these threats is well worth the payoff you'll get if you can keep her alive during a match.
Thorn Maidens: With the Pyre Spirit already summarily dismissed from sanctioned play, there is really nothing in the game currently that compares to the cheap auto-damage/solid stat effectiveness that is the Thorn Maiden, especially the Tough version. 18 defense, 9 attack and 2 damage, paired with Pole Arm and Venom, is just a nasty combination, and it completely shuts down Mounted Charge, Charge and Surge. If players in your area are running a lot of MC/C heavy armies with little or no range, punish them with a formation of Thornies.
As an Orc fan, I'll miss the Ironclads, since they were one of my favorite 1.0 figures, but in 2.0 I think there are better options for their point cost. Same for the Orc Slaver - neat little figure, better Orcs in 2.0 for around the same cost.
