Originally posted by jazean well this answers who it is... now we just have to see his new dial...
:wand: with pierce already is on a few dials... tough magestone golem, has mageblast pierce.
To this point its only on two :wand: dials with pierce both actually have mage blast. Jareth with a 9 attack and 16 defense for 73 points and tough magestone golem with a 10 attack, 17 defense and 10 range for 61 points.
Jareth is pretty good, but his low attack hurts him, the magestone golem would be good if he weren't a golem with wand attack (but maybe that will improve with sorcery).
Another one with an 11 attack (probably 10 by the time it hits) and bound (which makes ranged combatants useful) will be great in high point games. Especially if he has a high defense (teamed with now valuable spell resistance and toughness).
one thing that I notice is that they never say if he has an attack bonus at all. For all we know his base attack is 11 and he could have a +2 wand bonus for when he hits his bound clicks.......food for thought. He also appears to have 11 clicks of life, with toughness on all of them read his description....4 of spell resistance, 6 or regen and then demo since he regen on demoed would be wasted so 11 clicks of life....

Demo and regen may be a waste, but they have done it before.....
Sweet, I second the idea of fielding him with Tezla's manual, you could turn this guy into a real CC monster, and his unique SA ensamble auctually makes the Book of Gates somewhat practical.
well I have a feeling a highly used combo will involve the wand of fencing, if his defense is 17 or 18, you could give him Parry and Magestone Bracers, he'd be very tough to hit in CC,
I'm willing to bet the high point cost stems from his subfaction ability. It's like adding extra items to him just by your selection of supporting warriors. With Vampirism tacked on, or Reckless, or the EF ability, or even a combination of them (not to mention others) he'd be even more enticing. Add in the spellbook and...wow, i want one. For fun if nothing else.
As for the choice of charge and bound...perhaps not the best but I personally like it. Charging into combat, duking it out, and then when you get tired and injured you can sit back and let your support handle things while you pound from range.
Now the weapon, I like. But to me tis more of a manifestation of his magic than a Solonavi...er...gift. Why would you carry around an axe when you can just call one forth when you're ready to do battle?
Anyway, I for one approve. I'll be trying to pick him up for sure.
you cant choose other factions spells with OT9C because you give him the spellbook Before he is fielded... so you cant do that, also, you dont get subfaction symbols, just faction symbols from freindly units.
