as said before, Podo was the best 3 point filler ever. Not to metion he borught a magic or wierd twist of fate to your games that always ended up bringing you victory, or at least an interesting story to tell
I have never owned a podo or seen him played, but I can attest to the might of the tiny pieces. I have learned to manipulate my volunteer force so well that I can keep a 100+ point unique at bay for most of the game with 20-30 points of goblins.
podo and his volunteer brethren aren't the only ones who have the power of luck on their side. let us remember yellow imp the mighty, who's ufallable luck holds longer than the thickest armor in the face of mighty enemies. I have personally seen a yellow imp hold back the advance of a Fist of Tezla for 5 turns, failing its break and later criticly missing the little bat.
so, in the days when a heavily armed unique can easily be loaded down with enough relics/items to be an army of one, remember the podo the might. LONG LIVE THE GOBLIN SWARM!
not going to add to the 2.0/1.0 arguements... blah. But I want to say that podo was a good peice I used him as a filler and a take down mini. Often when I used orc/atlantis I would have podo with 2 half troll hackers and the halftrolls would weaken so podo could strike. for 3 points he was a bargain
OK, so Podo isn't the much of a piece but he played in my Dad's army at the 1st Canadian Nationals and not only did my Dad finish 2nd that year but Podo was his last piece standing, so we gave him the Victorious Cross for bravery, Canada's Highest Military Decoration. I even have pictures to prove it. Thanks for the memories Podo. By the way my Dad(Miscouche2) still has him.
I used podo as a - I own one token for free this game for only 3 points.... I also killed the little basterd on sight. He seemed to creep into a lot of dungeons game and we all know that podo as a monster in dungeons is against the rules.... stupid podo - your sooo good but soo bad at the same time...
He might be a good luck charm maybe? As a side note: I have never lost a MK game to a player that had fielded a podo AND as a bonus side note: I always killed it. Also I don't think I have ever lost a game while fielding a podo either lol...
