Actually DarkC, the killer combination would be to forcibly remove the Pestilance Avatar from his horse and glue him onto the Death Horse. Your opponent will not expect such trickery!
As for kicking the opponent in the Jimmies i thnk we covered this, they are being called "altans" now, in order to spare all those Jimmies out there from being confused with a kick target.
Ku and I discussed this is the old thread, that ruling is now retired, it is back to being a kick in the Jimmies.
According to our indepth coverage by clovis the changes coming to the Social Security program will also be reflected in the Mage Knight world. What does this mean for all of us??? Retirement age is going to be moved up a few years. So now that Bush is president all of your 1.0 figures are still good. Which means

Well, you obviously haven't played a lot, because you have way too many figures in your army. On top of that, there are so many problems with your army, I cannot even begin to describe the suffering you will experience during gameplay.
Here are the primary flaws:
1) 100% female army
2) 50% of your figures are wearing long flowing robes!!
3) You have a bias toward female spells, and this is dangerous for a man to try to master.
100% Female Army
- These armies are never consistent, and at least a once a month it plays very differently than the rest of the month
- Anybody can tell you that jealousy will set in amongst your army, so don't be surprised if they start attacking each other, instead of your opponents figures
- The color of some relics are tough to coordinate with their outfits
- Sometimes they will complain as to why you gave a higher priced relic to one of the other ones.....like you don't appreciate them as much as somebody else.
- They sometimes are offended when you are too aggressive, and God forbid if you think you will get to make the first move!!
50% of Your Army is Wearing Long Flowing Robes!
- Long flowing robes never win!!!! (Think back to the days of the Elven Zealot)
- The length of the flowing robes sometimes get caught in high-heels, therefore you lose the balance of your army
- You better not expect to play Rain and Mud!!! They're not ruining their robes for some silly objective token
- When in doubt, go with the thonged women. Much more "easy" to play with, and more open minded to the advances you may want to make with your army.......up the battlefield
Female Spells
- Pyschic Reflection- Women always know what you're thinking, and you will soon be criticized for every move you are going to make
- Disenchant- This spell is so popular once the courting phase of your army building begins. At first, they are so happy that you think enough of them to consider having them be a part of it; then they become bored (disenchanted) with you and think that somebody can work them into their army much better than you did
- Word of Refusal- This one is pretty self-explanatory! Its the oldest spell in the spellbook!!!!
Unlike some of my brethren, I think you need to scrap this army. It just can't win, no matter how good the figures may look!!! Golem Familiars couldn't help this mess!
This was my light and Shadows army. The rules, in case you missed them, were one faction pure unique and you got a free relic if you used the new sorcery subfaction on your unique. Also there were no domains allowed. Here is the build:
Lady Gliasti 42 points
Soulmare 52 points
Black Sledge 25 points
Delphana Master *** 46 points
Magestone Bracers 10 points
Tome of Brass 24 pages 33points
Mechanoid 8 pages
Implant Channel 4 pages
Technomantic Circle 6 pages
Word of Levitation 6 pages
2x Golem Familiar * 36 points
Technoprentice *** 30 points
My army was highly influenced by the items available to me. If I had book of mists, it would be on Daheia because the ghost form is perfect for her.
Basic strategies:
-Get Daheia in the air with word of levitation and have her steal bound from the technoprentice as her method of moving. This worked like a charm against those landbound orcs, but she had to be more careful with Khan Rava (Oh I wish I had a book of mists).
-Get the Delphana master on my closest token and cast the circle. Most orcs depend on melee attacks for beat down and twiddle their thumbs when they can't base.
-alternate activating my casters so somebody could always counterspell (notice I used 2 delphana and the oracle was packing deny)
-Use golem familiars to harass the opposition, heal up with imperial legion, and channel pierce damage as needed from the delphana master.
-Get mechanoid up early and cast on opponent. I don't care about them getting toughness but I love slowing my oppnent down and having them unable to heal. Also counterspell disbelieve (remember no domains means disbelieve is the only true counter).
-use gliasti as my sucker punch. She would take on any threats to Daheia, magic immune pieces, or go for the one shot kill against pimped out uniques when mechanoid was active.
-Keep technoprentice open for occasional pot shots on the opposition, but make sure it didn't lose bound until daheia was well into bound herself.
-Use arc lightning as sucker punch number 2. either lure units in by using my cav as bait (only fails to break on a one) or wait for the big clump to show up in daheia's range.
-Other spells were used to counteract abilities of the opponent.
Wylden Host Leader---124
Magestone Bracers
Teachings of the True Way
Wyrm Strike/Rain of Thorns (depending on type of army swarm or few big figures)
Auraheal
Word of Refusal
Archer's Aim
*** Tempest Priest------------44
X2 * Bloood Demon------------66
X2 Solonavi Shade-------------58
Strategy: First turn double time both demons and have host leader cast archer's aim on herself then bookmark Word of Refusal. Then when they cast spell cast it and surprise them.
