But you can Submerge anywhere if Fen Swamp is played. Falderal was incorrect (as he admitted). Submerge is not like MoM or Infiltrate. Submerge allows you to deploy into *any* water terrain, not just terrain 'features'.

And Death Throes is nerfed (as of June 1st) and Mechanoid is cancelled by Fen Swamp (*and* River Valley)...

My favorite relic on Captain is the Fang Shield. Ups his Defense, allows him to capture easy, gives him terrify, all alot of fun for a non bounding ranged submerger.

Then I'm getting very pissed off....at my venue they wouldn't let me play fen swamp that way it and I took their word for it because hell we have 3 players in like the top 50...then here I get all the opposite....if mage knight supposed to be this confusing I don't feel much like playing anymore.:( and what the hell am I supposed to do if the majority of players in the room won't believe me? I'm supposed to fight with the opposing player about it for 45 minutes and wait for a reply from someone higher and then this becomes a game of #### politics. Then if they are really quick about answering they probably answer wrongly without completly reading the situation.

I wish I had played the mechanoid army then but since that first game with fen swamp didn't go the way I wanted with placement and stuff I never played a winner all night. I've seen these conflicts happen before and they are like completely not worth it if u didn't even start the first round yet...but I guess next time I'm just gonna go to the death in every aspect.

First and foremost, let me apologize for starting all the confusion. May I suggest, in future tourneys, if you have an army and you know that something works, but feel your players will disagree, then bring a copy of the official ruling as said by Sigma. I have all these different rulings on my laptop that I bring with me every week in case there are any disputes. I can just bring one of these up and say, there you go. I can get the water terrain ruling and e-mail it to you so you can print it out.

I'm assuming you're not a warlord, so I'll give this service to you since I kind of messed you up on the water strategy.

What did your warlord have to say about it Miggles? He really is all that matters. If he made the final (bad) call then I feel bad for you, but Warlords are human.
Point out his mistake to him (in private), swallow hard, and keep playing. For the amount they must know (and study) about the game, they could be lawyers.
However, if the players are overrunning him with supposed forum postings and wrong rulings, then ask him to limit them to printed proof.
Plus, if you only face one player in round 1, the others should not even be involved in your game until you face them. Resolve the problem with your opponent (and warlord)

One thing else to consider which will boost up submerged is the new AC card that allows for Skiddish mounts without a rider to remain alive as long as a member of the company is within 8". This allows you to play those Skiddish Salamanders with a bit more confidence. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the specific AC card.

The warlord had a problem getting there so basically we had to run a warlord by committee thing. So that would explain everyone's involvement in the decision....or else I'd take the warlord's word for it. but it's like we got number two and 7 in the state playing there and shouldn't they know just as much, and why should they care about being biased toward one player if they aren't the opponent...this is becoming troubling. I can't even trust them anymore and there aren't many venues to go to (two just closed down)

I guess I can't blame you Mig. Sometimes it works better to cancel the event than to try to run it without a warlord. Truly the event should not run without one, but usually players will try to help out those who travelled long distances to game.

The best you can hope for is to talk to your venue about not holding events without a Warlord. The only problem is, then you spend all Thursday waiting to game and end up not being able to. At the very least, your record should be fixed and a prize given to you and an apology from those who were wrong.
However, if you can't trust them, then I can't blame you for the sour attitude.

Of course the army needs to start to be decent, and even that is a semi-suicide army, only having 3 figures, but it can take down the main opposite figure in one shot with Onitsha's and Sub golem's shot followed by Tymara's MC. At least the match would end soon.
