i have been out of the loop for awhile so i missed out on sorcery and omens and nexus releases, so now i need to go back and catch up, but at 8$ a pop in the store, its kinda rediculous,
(just want to make a shout out to wizkids to say what a kick ### game i think they came up with, i hope they keep the story line interesting and the new awesome figures rollin outta the factories!)
The game has been out of production for a year now, so you should be able to find better deals than $8.
sorry if this double posts, i missed something and there is no edit button
speaking of getting back in the game i just got some stuff off of eBay, and I cant wait to get it friday
lot of over 200 items, relics, spells, spell books, items, uniques including kossack darkbringer and vextha, and a bunch of other figs mostly 2.0 = i think it was 40$ including shipping
case of unlimited boosters(48 packs) = 50$ including shipping
10 dungeons pyramids packs = 10$ including shipping
(non-mageknight) 10 packs of death from above/mechwarrior = 23$ including shipping
i hopes i gets some good pieces or ones i dont have atleast, i have been able to get an unlimited pack in a while
so i got some of my stuff from ebay, my unlimited booster case (48 packs)
I've got a bunch of new pieces and my next plan is to finish getting castle pieces. I just wonder how long I can wait before I won't be able to buy pieces online that I want.
This year, I've bought a case of lancers, minions, rebellion and I'm soon to purchase a case of unlimited; I didn't think to make a note of what I got from each case. I can say that my case of minions was very similar to Oathkeeper's, with the exception of the xandersson boarder and paladin priest. I did pull like 6 amazon draconum though, several from one box in fact.
Seriously swift....check out ebay. Boosters and cases are okay but.....look for collections! I have passed up lots of 800 figures with 50+ uniques for $100 shipped. Also consider starting a "Want to Buy" thread here. I had a good bunch of deals here when i did that...
Start a trade thread if you have some spare uniques.
With the end of WK supported games, this is still a great game. It just takes some tweaking to get the game to play the way local player tastes dictate. I am slowly building a player base at the Game Club at the school where I teach. I've given away some figures from my non-favorite factions, and we play scenarios with special rules. If my player base keeps growing, I hope to start a sort of Risk meets Mage Knight campaign. Each player will choose a faction/race and have a starting area on the Risk map. (I am planing on buying a copy of LotR Risk for the map-board.) Players will take over areas from the mosters that inhabit them, or from each other. As they gain areas, they gain build points. Retreating from the map to make the best of a loosing battle will be allowed. (He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day.) I'm going to severely limit cards in army builds. Since this is not "official" tournament play for ratings, and WK is not providing prizes, I can be more flexible in what is allowed and what isn't. And if all goes well, I can pick up a case on ebay for cheap, and the players can split it up according to their factions.
I hope everyone who wants to play can find people to play with for many years to come.

Great Idea I have done vertually the same thing in a game club I have run at school. Its a great way to have a weekly campaign that the kids will stay interested in. Publish a weekly news letter that tells about their exploits and its even better. There is plenty of stuff still available out there so getting the figs is still fairly easy. I would suggest however that you build a club collection that the kids can use but that you keep to be able to play from year to year.
