Those collectors numbers are wrong - Nova's number is MSM 009, so they can't be MSS...

Unfortunately, I got a promotion which made me have to give up my wonderful door locking office to move to a cubicle to sit with the team i'm involved with. Napping with 25 sets of eyes on you = not so good. woe is me. :P

Anyone else have any inkling on what else is coming out with the set? Is there a speculation thread started?

Based on the UDE Tournament Appendix B that Jeff Donais posted on the Vs Yahoo Groups Files section, Spider-Man Vs. Doc Ock Starter Set becomes legal for tournament play on June 1, 2004. This indicates to me that it'll be available at least by then if not a little earlier.

Others on the site have said the release date is May 30th, which would make sense for them to be tourney legal the next day.

-lol- well the numbers seem a lil off. Unless the Spidey and Siniste Six team are limited to a combined 28 cards in a 165 set, or unless they've gone and completely changed the numbering system in this set =)

i really cant wait for the spiderman cards they're the ones i've been looking forward to ever since i got into the vs. marvel tcg

2 things:

1) The starters all but confirm the Hulk as he appears to be pictured on the front...not that this is a surprise...

2) I have a couple of trade advert pictures (from online distributors whose urls I cannot post) of the Spidey starter and the preview cards - the numbers actually DO appear to be the same as Typhon's listing.

I'm hesitant to confirm them - though I wonder if the numbering system will be different in this set or if, perhaps, these numbers are different than the actual numbers will be on the cards in the starters...

So are the boosters being released with the starters? Are there any online retailers I can get both at?

No boosters for now. The starter is basically a sample, with the full set cdoming at closer to the end of summer (very rough estimate).
