Aparently i have missed some critical point about Threshold Effect Resolution then, because to me it seems the abilities are self limiting factors, and I come up with about 49.
the least I was able to get was 107.....i am over 1000 now. At 49, are you just using clobberin times and flying kicks to boost, then using the effects? Take a good look at every card in the set....it is easy to find the cards to get the combos going-its the fine tuning for extra damage that is difficult
Point being... and I hope this isn't too spoilerish for the competition... but Darkoth can only pop a resource once... and then you are delaing with only 2 resources from that point on, not 3. Any attack he is in and uses this pops it, so your resources are limited right there. I think the 40's is pretty ####ed impressive, so I sure hope it is not the few of us in that range that are wrong, or else the game needs some serious erratta to limit the astounding numbers you guys are hitting. And considering the focus and balance of the agme itself, anything nearing 100 should be looked at very suspiciously, let alone nearing 1000, you are just kidding yourself. If this is possibel the game rules themselves are too exploitable.
And I have seen nothing in teh design of this game to suggest they missed a loop-hole that big.
It is possible to get over 1000....but you would basically need to build your deck around this attack, and have everything fall exactly into place. The damage may be possible, but no one will ever do it without stacking their deck just to pull it off. I think the most anyone will ever get out of it in a real game is like 100-200, but even there the deck would have to be built around doing it.
well, if I end up winning this thing ill write an article about how to do all the damage on turn 3. When everything is broken down, you will see how its possible-but also how it is nothing to worry about when it comes down to a possible unbalance in the game. By turn 3, you most likely haven even drawn any of the cards will need, let alone everything you need. And actually, the 100-200 I said will be likely done is even out of reach. in reality, someone will only reach like 50-75 damage on turn 3....a couple people may break 100-EVER...and no one will reach the 1000 damage we talk about---but the possibility will be out there for those who want to try.

I don't mean to be rude but excuse me? 40+ is outstanding? 4 flying kicks and 4 surprise attacks with the 11 damage from darkoth and torch nets you 49 easily. And anyone would have thought of that in mere minutes. Far from impressive, IMHO.
