another question regarding face down connection with abilites
how does kanto works ? i mean, when i use his ability,it's put into the chain rite ? now my opponent responded to use as many as face down resource as possible and then when the chain resolve, which situation is used for kanto's ability ? i notice there is another darkseid's character,i think it was kurin that has a similar ability, how does the chain reaction for these abilites?
Kanto's effect goes on the chain with 'target character if its cost is less than or equal to the number of face-down resources an opponent controls' (we'll say 4, targeting a 3 cost).
When priority is passed to the opponent, they flip enough Plot Twists and Locations and put their respective effects on the chain (This player now has 2 face-down resources)
The chain resolves, moving down it (assuming no further chains) until it gets to Kanto's ability. The target character is still targeted (since it is still a character), but the if clause is no longer valid. Kanto's effect does nothing.
but is this situation different if i used 3 press the attack on 4 exhausted character ? for example, when i have priority,i play 3 press the attack and then i pass the priority, btw,i have 4 exhausted character.
501.4 An object's restrictions on the number of times a payment power may be played apply only to that object and that power. (See rules 212.1b and 700.3b.)
Example: Barbara Gordon reads, "Pay 1 resource point >>> Draw a card. Use this power only once per turn." Barbara's controller plays this effect to draw a card. Then he or she plays another Barbara Gordon, KO'ing the first one. The new Barbara Gordon is a new object, and that player may now play Barbara Gordon's effect once this turn also.
