Originally posted by Ike E Bear I think grimmer has it spot on and if you refer back to his step by step format, you could turn it into a flow chart.
It's the clearest example I've seen and I'm sure it's 100% correct.
Just reread grimmer's post and realised my suggestions for Thing11's model essentially convert it into grimmer's, so I second your nomination :)
Zaxx: successive passes have to be checked when A passes as well as when B passes. Otherwise, perfect.
What you have looks correct Zaxx, nicely done. I will edit mine tommorrow. I seriously think that once we can get good enough visual documentation they need to put all the links in a sticky post in this forum under the title "Read this first".
Any effects that trigger at the beginning of the named phase/step/substep are added to the chain now.
to
Perform all begining of phase/step/substep actions. Any effects that trigger at the beginning of the named phase/step/substep are added to the chain now.
Change
If there are no unresolved effects then the chain is empty. Perform any end of phase/step/substep actions. The current phase/step/substep ends.
Man... what kind of game is this that it needs visual aids?
Player A: "Uh... I declare an attack with Multiple Man and play Savage Beat-Up!!"
Player B: "Are you passing priority to me?"
Player A: "Hold on... let me check the chart... circle gets the square... yes... I think so."
corret me if i'm wrong but i don't think it's right yet. the way you have it now, if a plays an effect, passes to b who also passes, it doesn't let a play another effect.
also, if b plays an effect, passes to a who passes, b should get a chance to add effects again too.
perhaps label the passes as pass 1 and pass 2 (successive) and add another player b bubble.

That is correct, once both players pass in a row, the last effect resolves.

The last effect added will resolve first and player A would receive priority. Once both players pass in a row, the last effect resolves, or if the chain was empty, it would go onto the next phase step or sub step.
This is way I love this diagram, it forces people to really think about it and resolve it correctly. Thanks again for your hard work Thing11.
No problem! Thanks for all your help cdaniel, zaxx and everyone. I can use this to explain how to play to my friends who don't know how. When you first look at it, it may seem daunting, but after running through it once, it makes perfect sense. Thanks all!
