My 5 boxes gave me a pretty good mix of everything. I would have liked one more Bamf to make it 4 and another 4-drop Venom but overall the pulls did not suck. Aside from the fact that my boxes took forever to get here (I'm in CT) I have no complaints.

I was at the Brooklyn PCQ and the lack of rares in some packs was concerning but in the sealed format sometimes that isn't a bad thing (unless you are a rare hunter, which I am not). The guys running it did not replace the packs of which there were a ton of. Half-boxes were missing rares. Yikes.

If the boxes I bought for myself had that problem I would be really cheesed-off. But since it didn't, no big deal.

Personally, I have no problem pulling Feral Rages. Out of three boxes of MOR I bought, I pulled 4 Feral Rages, yet no Diabolic Genius AND Press the Attack:ermm:

Well lucky you. Most valuable card I have pulled from MOR booster has been foil Ka-Boom.

Well instead I do have pulled pretty well from DOR lately. My last 5 DOR boosters contained foil HAB, foil Garth, foil Alfred, foil Poison Ivy and non-foil Heroic Sacrifice.

I don't believe that cards like Feral Rage and Bamf! are harder to come across as JJJ in a box. The reason they are valued higher is because they have great play value. The reason it seems like their are less of them is because many people don't trade the ones they open, while they try to trade the JJJs and Ace Reporters they pull, which is why you see more of them.

At the Kings Games PCQ, I got my 2 packs for 15th and thankfully pulled 2 rares, I saw some people get 0 or 1 rare in their 2 packs while I was collecting mine.

Your definately right about the distribution of MSM. Its why I have yet to buy a box of it, and I may not even bother to. (I don't run SS/SF, but its good trade bait either way)

Wow, you must be pretty unlucky, i've been having the best time with MSM lately; it's my favorite set so far. Around here, no one's complained about no rare packs, and so far i've opened a box, and my friends have opened boxes, and everyone around here's pretty satisfied. I know it sucks getting a JJJ, but the other sets had their bad rares too, i mean, how many people were actually happy to pull a Gothcorp or a Doom Triumphant?

well if you looked at a previous theard. I turned into packs of DC (just the wrappers) and they sent me two rares those rares holos, and two new packs. UDE is really good aboot the no rare packs, but for some reason they never heard of it. I suggest calling them first..then number is on the back of packs.

Yesterday I took a look at my pulls again and figured I have 3 Silver Surfers... :cheeky: :eek: :noid:

I'm very symapthetic to those of you who haven't gotten the right number of rares, but the "I've opened a box, or a few boxes, and haven't gotten enough of rare X" doesn't really work. On average, as someone mentioned, you'll get the rare you want once in 55 packs, or a bit more than every two boxes. But the standard deviation is really high, so there's no garantees.

In about six boxes I've seen opened, no ultimate sacrifice, but there have been well more than the average of several other rares. That's just the way things work out.

But it's certainly spiteful when the rare you most want is the one you can't pull. Heck, I've seen 1 Archangel in two boxes. That's not fun, but it happens.
