Just a comment on spidey. I think that if Darkseid becomes a popular team or team-up, spidey is going to vanish. Darkseid has too many ways to punish evasion with Bernadeth, Omega Beams and Ride of the Black Racer.
As far as the best deck, I'd agree with Jonesy that it's the 'big 4' (FF, Brotherhood, Titans and CE), although I think a New Gods team up with someone will rise pretty quick (once someone finds the right team).

I would disagree with this (having actually played the matchup).

If you are evading a lot, I do not see how you are not going lose no matter what you are playing against. The primary effect of evasion is to provide the Ricochet shield to your characters. Occasionally, you might wish to evade with a smaller character to prevent breakthrough and force your opponent to take on one of your larger characters. And there are a few other situations whcih you would obviously wish to evade in, but most of the time, you will not. I see no problem with Bernadeth and Omega Beams for Spider-Friends that no other deck has to worry about any less.

Big 4, reminds me of MGS2, well anyway, following up on what I said before, Common Enemy is good, but I've decided that its not the best. It's the best Curve beatdown deck but not the best. As for the best, I'm not sure what it is.
i hope ppl stop playing TT and start playing spider friends ;)
that would truely be a dream come true and infinite byes for many decks.
there isnt really much tech against TTs. you dont even need to run tech to beat spiderfriends most the time(obv depends what you are playing.). and there is a decent ammount of tech for spiderfriends.
oh and there are decks spiderfriends just cant do anything against such as combo and some stall decks.
Well,.. The very best team in VS is far and away Fantastic Four. Best Deck? Assuming you have Jonsey as a pilot it's FF/Beats-Titans-Common Enemy with a longing wink at Loa :)
Just like me playing a TT deck (which I do), it's good, but does not mean I can tweak everything out from the deck.
Really, there's no "BEST". I had not play much VS, but from the perspective from all the other card games I had played, certainly one bad draw could kill any type of deck.
there is no best deck... every deck has good matchups and bad matchups. few things that go into winning are 1. the matchup, 2. the draw, 3. the skill of the players, and 4. luck
Most people make the dominate decks well others try to take the under dog decks/new original decks like my friend who put his soul in Arkham and I'm trying to make Hero's United deck and a Spider Friends/Superman deck... I think people should make decks that represent themselfs or what there favoite not take the decks that are already good that's no fun wouldn't it be more fun if you make a deck that no one expects to win and win with... I like to see the Vs Community
get involved and post there ideas I want to hear more from you guys..
I can't believe that no one has mentioned Brave and the Bold. It has the TT engine with the toolbox and search of GK. It didn't win the Marvel vs. DC by chance.

There is always a best deck if you peg the metagame. There will always be one deck that has more good matchups and less bad matchups vs the field.
On B&B--the deck is REALLY good when it runs right, but it doesn't run right often enough. Consistency kills it.
Yeah, i hate to say it but this game isnt much about hand as in feild control.
Most players know that. I love the concept of the X-stall. its not as good as Billy Zones Solitaire build but its still a force to be afraid of in tournament play, expecially in the one game format.
