Multiple Boys might I add....about 3 now, and as soon as a girl becomes Robin, she dies...I think we got a problem...plus his batmobile is really long, is he trying to make up for something?
BATMAN will OWN spiderman... other than he is smarter he is a way better fighter, he is only human and you people have to compare them tsk tsk tsk. Spider-man has the ability to swing of walls great so may BatMan with his grapple and it is not endless unlike spiderman's web-shooter which runs out. Other than that what else does spiderman have he may shoot webs i already covered that he runs out... and what he has speed well batman always has his handy dandy jetpack on him. Spiderman may crawl on walls, WOW how is he going to touch BATMAN if he is on the side of a building and if anything batman may pull some suction cups from utility belt or use his claws to craw on the sides also. Spiderman has a little bit more speed in his punch and strength well what good is that when batman took martial arts and what not and learned to block and dodge it, he will dodge and kick back or stand back and throw baterang and sleeping gas or whatnot from utility belt... so in conclusion BATMAN does not need time to prepare and if he did have the time he will ANNIHILATE spider-man i mean he took out the whole justice league what else is there to say.
Spider-man has ALITTLE more strength in his punch. Spidey can lift cars and junk, how is that alittle more power?
This is probably the most silly comparison between two heroes ever (outside of batman VS Supes)
Spider-man has everything over batman. Spidey isn't a boy scout like Cap or supes, Spidey is as smart if not smarter then bats, and he is definitly stronger and has more battle skill (due to his agility and spider senses) There is no ground for batman to catch anywhere.
In an unfair fight any man can win, for all you people who want to let batman use his stupid computer. But in a fair one on one fight, in a battle out of nowhere, in a REAL fight. Spider-man beats batman, plain and simple.
have you even seen the comics or atleast cartoons??? spiderman cant lift cars maybe some heavy things but not cars... when he turned into the alien symbiot costume he was like omg i was never able to do this b4 (lift a car) and no sorry he is not smarter than batman. It's shamful how you have to lie about spiderman to make him look good tsk tsk tsk lol :)
Actually, both senarios are interesting. Seriously. I'll leave any of the final outcomes to the comic book writing pros but here are some things to consider in both a prep and non-prep situation:
- Bats is well known for being the greatest dectective alive. He has defeated multiple beings considerably stronger and more powerful than he. Evidently, knowing IS half the battle if not more.
But as mentioned, Parker is no dummy. He's super smart, can sense danger before it hits and has all his other spider-powers. He has also been gunned for in the past, many times and can improvise very well. This is something that Wayne is also good at with his bag of tricks by his side.
Let's assume for a moment that they each have a day to prepare for the fight. Bats does a background check on Peter and finds out about his basic abilities. Peter does the same but doesn't come up with as much, maybe just the location to the BatCave (Spidey is famous for finding places that people don't want him to). They meet up, Bats has the upper hand with some kind of gizmo or sets up the situation to favor him slightly and take away some of Peter's physical advantage. Spidey high-tails it outta there. End of "fight."
Now we are left with a situation where evetually Bruce will dig up everything known about Peter and Spiderman while Peter manages to infiltrate the Batcave and either gum up the works (making another fight improbable or pointless) or get tons of dirt on Bats and his gadgets. Either way, a story would have to be written to set the conditions and reasons for the confrontation.
The way I see it, the characters are similar and while Bats has the darker edge, Spidey has been through the ringer enough times to know darkness and death. He just keeps a lighter touch. They would probably end up teaming up afterwords just because Spidey is so damn likable and Bruce loves to make new allies to help against future threats.
But it we are taking strictly VS that is another thread...

If Spidey has to lift a car (for example, to save a loved one) he can do it. Spider adrenaline. Or something like that....

I don't think you know much about Spider-Man after this post. Spider-Man is VERY strong. Lifting cars is not a biggie for him, at all. If he landed a punch on Batman without holding back(which is almost always does) he could explode his head like a watermelon.
And he is easily Bruce's intellectual equal, and IMO much smarter than Bruce. He can hold his own in talks with Reed Richards and Tony Stark, that's DAMN smart. bruce is no dummy, but he doesn't go home and design things to stop intergalactic beings all the time (Superman and kryptonite excludd).
What are you talking about? Bats is ridiculously smarter then peter. I'm a true spidey fan, and would love to see him win this fight, but bats is really ridiculous in VS. fights, much quicker on his feet in thinking new strategies then even the quick witted parker. Bats could beat GL, the flash, supes, anyone on the JL, and all of them could arguably beat spidey! Batman has so many things to fall back on, and he has nearly superhuman levels of strength (though peter does have a huge edge there, as well as speed). Bats can still pull through though. Peter may be a genius, but Bats is no doubt one of the smartest human on Earth in the DC universe, while Petey still constantly makes potentially devastating mistakes.
he cant lift a car like Crichton said if he has to he will but he cant and no he is not as smart as bruce he is barily smarter than dr.connors or that blond girl that works at the labs with him i forggot her name and if he was so strong as you say that he may drop a punch that will explode bats head like a watermelon then why does it never happen against any of the villans he faces ??? i mean doc ock is a normal human with 4 extra arms thats all when he punches him why doesnt his head explode?
Spidey is much more sentimental and emotional, Bats is just straight out ruthless. If he has to win he'll probably use some underhand means and pete will just surrender.
Eg. Bats threaten to blow up apokolips even with the knowlege that Supes and wonder woman are also on the planet.
Eg. Spidey will feign defeat to Doc Ock knowing Doc Ock will devastate new york if he lost again and loses all his self confidence.
Spider-man does defeat Doc Ock in one punch, when he lands a punch on his body. I actually watched the Spider-man 2 DVD today and was angry at the sight of Doc Ock taking blows to the chin from spidey in a fist fight. But then I watched the trivia captions and it said that in a comic fight, once spider-man actually got through Doc's arms he dropped him with a single punch to the jaw.
Not to mention that Spidey doesn't kill, he knows his own strenght. He puts in enough to drop you, not to splatter you.
I think that people give Batman so much credit because batman represents the everyday man. Batman represents something that people could possible become (I can't get super powers, but with enough knowledge and training I could be 'batman') The guy is just a dude, a smart and well trained dude, but still just a dude... in a silly mask at that.
but cmmon not having powers and being able 2 defeat bigger and better people
both these guys are my favourite comics
bats got the brains and spidey got the brawns
