Do I expect to win? No I dont. I may get picked randomly but knowing how many people are this site it is a slim to none type of thing. While I dont think I am an unkown around here, I only tend to post in topics that catch my interest.
Except my journal wich is random as all hell.
That and my articles are crap. I have written a few and I am never ever happy with them. Therefore I dont write them anymore.
while he may have come across as a whiner, his points are valid when viewed from the perspective of someone not sitting at the cool kids table ;)
while his desire to aquire free cards is not entirely out of place, perhaps he does have an interesting point.
while i am honestly not interested in winning a contest for free packs, if you are a younger member that is already strapped for cash, it would be easy to see the winners circle as full of well known names.
as it kind of is.
but it is full of well known names for a reason.
Or from the perspective of someone who's not even allowed to bus the cool kids table. Good Point T! Congratulations to all the winners, Marvel Knights is gonna' be a fun set "hidden" area or no.
Just a note to everyone who thinks that they can't win. I have been a major poster on and off, and sometimes I have felt that I got absolutely no respect here. But, when I heard about the contest, I went out of my way to post 3 different threads, 2 new ones and also to revive the old Revenge Squad Strat thread. These three articles were similar (all revolving around my rs deck that have been working on and took to 10k Columbus). I spent alot of time writing, answering questions, eliciting opinions and writing follow up replies. I spend time trying to keep each of the threads going, and really just wanted to see if indeed I would be noticed for my hard work and low and behold I was.
Now I may be a fairly regular face here, but I never would have won anything if I had not spend many hours on my three threads. My advice to everyone who wants to be recognized and maybe even given some packs, get out there and write, find a topic that you are very passionate about (like revenge squad was to me) and write some more, be kind to those who reply to your thread respect their opinions and give to the community by sharing of yourself.

Hehe, I was just messin' around anyway; to be fair, I'm looking at the winner's circle thinking, "Huh, they do a lot."
Although why isn't journal a good place to win from? Honky would be KING!
Besides this was all done in fun anywho! (although it might be nice if they sent your declined packs to that nice sounding guy who says VS. changed his life.)
Although VS. was not my own personal "conversion experience", as James Gleik would put it, Magic was (i never knew about combinatorics or thought "higher math" was something that i could grasp) and i think we all would be missing a few silly nights of sheer glee if VS. were not here for us so we should all understand how he feels.
VS. isn't about collecting cards to alot of us (and most definitely not the Realmworx folks doing this neat giveaway) it's about finals Titans Mirror matches where neither opponent has a 3 drop so they both wordlessly high five and laugh. If you can do that at a finals match....
Besides! it gave me an excuse to post the Barnaked Ladies song parody for Teen Titans that means my 12 hour lay over in Vegas wasn't in vain! i made the Black Panther laugh!
Not too mention nothing is really random eitherway....
