:P they should have made a card for galactus..... oh well. they even rumored a beyonder for a while, i have no idea why ude would out the beyonder in this game, but heh, they underpower alot of people. anyway, i hope they put galactus in the next xmen set, even though theyve only fought him 3-4 times on there own, they need good cosmic character cards... even web got spidey and terrax and surfer. marvel knights didnt really get a good cosmic,.

You shouldn't have given a list of possible cards/characters for each of the teams. Half the challenge in this is the research if you haven't read it or it's been a while. I also don't think people should be posting links to sites that give all of the story details and whatnot. This contest should be reserved for comic fans or at the very least people who are motivated enough to do a google search without someone holding their hand.

Most book stores (even Waldenbooks) usually have at least one copy of the Secret Wars trade paperback. If you haven't read it, I suggest you go pick it up. It's a classic.

Dooms greatest accomplishment? and the introduction of the most powerfull fictional character of all time? its more than a classic.....

This is an open contest, not an elitist challenge for comic book afficionados. I'd rather maximize the learning and fun experiences of as many potential comic fans as possible than shrink the contest to only a handful of people...

k just making sure, i hope it makes sense to you. its kinda "TOO" themed i think.

I'm not suggesting you make it elitist or only for comic book geeks, but it just seems that people aren't willing to do their own research and want someone to hand it to them. Google makes it really easy to find info on whatever you want. Just requires you to not be a lazy bum.

oh, i agree - but those who put an effort into it will send me a deck and expanation that displays that effort... =)

Should the deck be capable of winning matches or be true to the story? or some mix of them both?

This is a pretty good idea for a contest man, I've been tweaking and looking for all kinds of good cards to use. I even chucked in 1 betrayal, which I kinda know is useless.....but the whole irony of when Kang tried to betray Doom just really got to me, couldn't resist.

I woudl love to see people build and test some of the submissions. I know mine has a nearly full curve, character searches (justified no less), and even some other story themed tricks that make it fairly competitive in a casual environment.

Since She-hulk joined the F4 during the secret wars, can't we use either of those versions for this? It would still fit the flavor.

She really didn't join the FF until the very end, like in the last few pages of the last issue, after all the fighting was done. I think she was an Avenger during the Secret Wars and didn't really engage in any combat with the FF uniform on.

She did join before the end of issue 12. She wore the FF costume before the end of issue 12. I would think any of the FF versions should be legitemate.

Spidey might deserve 2 differrent copies... I know mine had 2 for a specific reason.

Banner was firmly in control of the Hulk at the beginning, and for most of the series. This is the same status he had when he stepped in to become a member of the New FF while they were missing.

Only 1 version of Kang was truly represented.

1 character was introduced after the beginning, one was thought dead... and one who was LONG dead was discovered.

2 characters were actually created during the Secret Wars by a being with cosmic powers.

There sure is a lot to work with here.
