Anyone else notice that 8 drops are so much more playable in JLA Draft/Sealed then in Avengers? I seen so many games go to 8 and half those games go to 9.
I found very few games went to turn 8 only one all day and thats cos I missed my 6 and 7 I would have ended it turn 7 otherwise. I would consider playing an 8 for JLA sealed. It might seem that they are playable in draft but they arent going to be for long. Once people lear the archetypes properly draft will speed up considerably. i dont think its Avengers fast but its still pretty aggressive.
I went 10-2 at my sneak, endin the games 5 times on turn 6 and 4 times on turn 8, and once on turn 7 when I won the initiative roll(for once) I either easily got to 8 and dropped fate/MM with the help of wall of will, balance of power, Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner or killed my opponents on turn 6 with a combination of safety in numbers, Captain Marvel, Metamorpho and batman, HC.(those were 3 different decks in case ur wondering)
IG seemed really really weak, one of my opponents played the 3 drop luthor and he just fueled my reform the league and while I death trapped his Joker, on 6 he boosted scarecrow and made me draw 3 cards, he then burned me and tried to attack down into jon steward, when I just played a wall of will and powered it up for 14 defense. Secret society has a number of very powerful drops in scarecrow, Ultrahumanite and Grodd, but plot twists are lacking, as the 'mill 4 cards and +atk' twist is too painful for sealed, gorilla city looks good though.
I also saw this happen at my sneak.
1st turn gypsy
2nd turn booster gold
3rd turn Hawkwoman, powerup to find hawkman
4th turn hawkman+Nth Metal, flip up reform the league, attack, hawkman is 14/12.
5th turn Steel+Atlantean Trident+Teamup+safety in numbers=GG

wow... O_O i feel really sorry for his opponent...
The wierd thing is that... the game that lasted till turn 11 consisted of each of us hitting almost of our important drops up till 7. (I think I missed my 2, and he missed his 4 and underdropped with a 3). I chose not to include an 8 drop in my first flight deck... but seeing how long each game lasted, i chose to include Psycho-Pirate in my second flight deck. Of course none of THOSE games lasted long enough for an 8 drop to be played =\
Huh? Hawkman powers up twice, nth metal and reform the league.
Yes, but powering up twice would only get Katar Hol to 10/12---equipment bonus, two power-ups, and Booster Gold's ally power. You said you got him up to 14/12, which makes it seem like you were somehow using Katar Hol's ally power, as well---he was wondering how you were getting a bonus from Katar Hol's ally power without a higher-cost character to attack.
Of course, there could have just been a plot twist involved, but your description makes it seem like it had to be Katar Hol's power getting you that last +4 ATK.

Isn't the +4 from hawkman's own ability triggering twice?
do you think 1 and 2 drops are needed in jla sealed? maybe it would be better to add more plot twists, it seems to me that they don't do enough to play them
