I actually really like the Ultimate universe, and can't understand all the hate it gets. Do the people here actually like having to be familiar with about 50yrs worth of history to have any chance at understanding a story?
In any case, Wolverine is fine as-is. He's still cool, though less so than before.

You do realize what Ally means right? Now, except for off initiative, you may not be getting Batman stunned in your first attack. Plus there ARE ways outside of discarding to power people up.
And I love the argument against 5-drop. "He does nothing against Nimrod" ...
As for Wolvie ... I'm sure we'll get a TON more in the next set.
And I'm sure unless they are broken ... that they'll be considered to not be good enough for Wolverine ...

No, people here just hate it when others pretend like one has to be familiar with 50 years worth of history to have any chance of understanding a Marvel story and then use their baseless reasoning as an excuse to make a way-too-trendy version of the Marvel Universe.

Yeah your point. I used Doomsday to deal of 90 damage to a Glee deck. WOlverine 7 drops abilitys are all fine. the reason no one likes him is because his team isnt very good.
I mean look at the decks hes run in. Force he is run because hes got lots of drops so he can be an easy name for longshot. X stall i have no idea that deck sucks. Then Mutant Nation see Force.
i keep a lot of my characters up to seven and sometimes play off curve and i have been on the taking end of what logan is givin and it sucked. sucked like some kind of machine that sucks things up in side of it to remove them from some surface....
and cyke i would like to hear your "facts" about why you think he is over rated
and ive read marvel comics since i was four years old and i like the ultimates(dc has all star same thing)
I would like to see a broken wolvie probably as a 6 drop that would be like a 13/13 and would recover everytime he becomes stunned.
As for batman I was most disappointed with the new hidden batman. I really wanted him to say something like while batman is hidden he can be equiped. Or gotham knight characters you control can attack hidden characters.
I think the real arguement here on this post should be how much superman sucks!
Aside from the new 7 drop avatar and argueably the gk 8 drop every superman drop is lame. Superman is the greatest most know superhero ever! However they cannot make a single superman charecter that one of the roy harpers cannot destroy! That is bad!! It's superman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why can't superman have one ultra broken drop. It is not like most of us had ever heard of roy harper until we started playing versus. Everyone in the world knows who superman is! Roy harper is known only well be a few comic enthusist's and a bunch of people going to gen con so cal.
Hopefully look alike squad will make team superman really good!

TOFU!
nope. we can continue our rivalry in Atlanta or Indy again.
As for the thread topic...
I actually think that the seven drop Wolverine is a perfect representation of his character in the eyes of the world. Even those of us who love him dearly wouldn't see him as an eight drop, he is smaller than most of his foes, and he beats up on little kids.
