i think the answer to that question is... no avenger player is good in draft ?
BTW... this Top 8 its interesting.. but i dont think that NS gonna win... coz since u play NS (or i think so, coz ur attitude in this thread) u know what happens New School/EMS Vs Any doom.
But who knows.... they could win this PC.... i prefer them over FF :)
I know whats gonna happen, the guy who gets evens wins half the game, the other half revolves around hitting thing, ELBET.

and yea i have play vs NS... in my hobby league there is a playre that think that NS is GOD... and I normally use 3 decks in HB.. 1 New God that beat NS on turn 3 or 4 (just the source) Avenger, coz there is not enoug characters to use Dr. Light. and TT coz on turn 3 probably will end with 1 character...
BTW.. i havent seen any NS or EMS in the TOP 8... in the last... dont know.. dont remember...
Once again I urge you to test the decks.
I'm not expecting 3 or 4 guys of mine to stun the field, I'm expecting 2 of them to exhaust enough guys that you can't attack. You have no way to disrupt my men or team ups so you just sit there getting disrupted.
I will concede that maybe you could get beat if you were Sourced. Of course, considering that you have Lacuna, and enough of MS or MTU to team up all your guys indivicdually, It'd say all it requires is an awareness of the present threat.
Let me explain how Avengers matchup goes.
Turn 1
NS: Alfred/Micrchop
AV: Nothing
Turn 2:
NS: Something.
AV: Whitman
Turn 3:
NS: A lot of somethings. Perhaps a Sentry.
AV: Black Panther (7/6)
Turn 4:
NS: Doom + Reign
AV: Hawkeye
Turn 5:
NS: A lot more of somethings
AV: She Hulk
(Maybe a Paralysis in here on Hulk)
Turn 6:
NS: Somethings
AV: Wonderman
(I'd say another Paralysis here, a lot of naysayers will be like OMFG!!! SEC0ND PARALYSIS!!! J00Z CHEETING!! All I can say is with 4 Alfreds, and 8 ways to get him, it's not gonna be a problem)
Turn 7:
NS: Dr. Light
AV: Herc
In the above examples the Avengers decks can get through a contained amount of damage... but not enough to break through. Maximizing reservists = exposure to Doom(4). Dr. Light is the best answer to Herc, pretty obvious.
With regards to Hawkeye (4), I hope you guys have read Flores' Who's the BEatdown. Any any case, because in this matchup the AV deck is the beat-down, it needs to put on pressure. It will lose if it tries to contain the NS deck because the NS deck is much better at stalling then the AV deck is at controlling the board. Hawkeye himself is only partially useful at stunning the engine. If I bait with Shimmer on my initiative, you have to stun her, which puts me in the position where I can recover all my guys through an intelligent use of Paralysis/Entangle/Press. That's a lot better then getting Shimmer'd, but you're getting stimmyied either way. BTW. Dr. Light counts stunned charecters too! I'm not even factoring the Amazing Spiderman and ilk.
I can see Titans as possibly being a bad matchup, the few games I've played have been somewhat straight forward. Reign of Terror is quite good against them, as is Power Compressor. Glorious Godfrey is similarly the nut high against them too.
Oh yeah, why do I see one NS in the t8 but none of Avengers or CS? Horn's deck put an 8-2 on day one, so it's definitely not a fluke.

There was only one Avengers deck that made the top 16 going into day 2 ... so he's the only one that didn't make it in because he wasn't good at draft. Any other Avengers player would have to more or less sweep the draft to make it into the top 8 from the low seed they were at ...
