From Marvel I like Common Enemy. I refused to build it and play it while CE was top tier in the pre-Sentinels days. However, I started trying it out once it fell out of favor. Straight Doom was my first ever deck, but having the F4 in with him just makes it even better. My favorite Hero Clix team was Fantastic Four, so mixing my first deck with my favorites from another game combined with the power of the deck itself is just good all around.
I also liked Squadron when it came out with Avengers. I'm happy that the deck has been able to be competitive, too, but I'm not so happy that characters like Arcanna, Blue Eagle, Power Princess, Dr. Spectrum, Skymax and Hyperion don't make the cut for the best deck.
From DC I enjoy League of Assassins. When it hits the KOing like it should, it has great control of the board. It is also one of the most consistent teams out there with effectively 8 character search cards plus a 2 drop to get your 4 drop in a pinch. They aren't tier 1, but they have just enough competitiveness that they can hold a game against most other tier 1 decks without it being an auto-loss.
I also enjoy JLI because I enjoyed the Giffen/Maguire/DeMattis days of the Justice League. Playing this deck brings back the hilarious memories. Also, if ever I face a deck that plays Guy Gardner, it is required for Batman to attack him. :)
Competitivly I enjoy my LOA/B-Hood Deck, I love the look on my opponent's faces when turn 7 hits and they realize that the one to two characters they have on the board are about to die.
However I have been having more fun lately playing my insanely crazy LOA/GK/Arkham deck, I call it the Pied Piper deck. I love it when I seem to get a "WTF!?!?!?" from everyone in the room when I Flame Trap on turn 4 with 3-4 Ratcatcher's out and possibly the 4 drop Batman.
One day, I will make a Superman deck that includes 4 copies of Kara-Zor-El. That will give me reason to actually play her instead of "teching" her in Titans. And I don't just do that for the *WTF is this noob running?!* for the judges.

Originally posted by captainspud I love playing Kang. I get so cocky when I play it, because in the back of my head I always know that nothing is going to happen in the game without my express permission. It's a nice feeling. :)
On the flipside, I hate playing AGAINST swarm decks. They just feel lazy to me-- like the person wasn't willing to think and commit to one careful selection at a drop, so instead they just spew out whatever crap floats to the top of the deck.
Well, I do love Kang. It's the feeling of power - my deck is always in the driver's seat, no 'please dear god don't have something that can put me on a bigger minus' that kind of thing.
When I win, it's because I can do more damage to you this turn, next turn, and the turn after, and the turn after... you're going down.
I don't mind Swarm though. Little guys are tasty treats. :)
