A lot of teams struggle early. A few years ago, Florida hit a shot at the buzzer in OT to beat Butler in the first round, then proceeded all the way to the final four. Gonzaga, BC, Tennessee, you still have hope.
As for the Gators, they've got the upset winner U-dub in the next round. And this bracket is shaping up very nicely from the boys of Florida.
Now, if I can just figure out which frikkin' deck to play in Atlanta.

And Duke is gonna lose to LSU because I said so. Sorry Dalton :ermm:
I'll be happy if Duke or I win the whole thing. Not sure which I'd prefer :p . Barring that, I will take us both making the final 4 as a consolation prize.
Am I the only genius that had Wichita St. in the sweet sixteen? I'd like to think so, but I'm also the genius that had San Diego St. upsetting Gonzaga this round. All well, at least my final 4 choices are still alive.

BC is gonna demolish Villanova, because BC is a physical team who scores most of their points in the paint. Nova runs FOUR guards. I have a feeling they'll be cold all night and BC will destroy them in the post.
Did it occur to you that the reason Villanova plays a 4 guard offense isn't because they have to, but because they chose to, because it's mind-bogglingly good. Who on BC is going to guard any of Nova's guards? BC plays bad defense, and they lack perimeter shooting. I like BC a lot, but I'm just not seeing it. Unless Allen Ray's eye falls out again, then all bets are off.

The way I see it is Nova is gonna dribble down, pass the ball around, then shoot a 3 almost every possesion. BC is gonna come down, pass the ball into Smith in the paint, and he'll put it up or dunk it. If the game goes back and forth this way, Nova's % of 3's isn't going to match Smith's % from the paint. But who knows, Nova could get hot and make infy 3's, or Smith could get into foul trouble or go into cardiac arrest.
That's the great thing about this tournament; ANYONE can win a few games. You never know.
What a tremendous performance. I don't know that I'll be able to sleep tonight. So far on the news in Gainesville, I've seen a car on fire, guys crawling on stoplights, and naked chicks on light poles. It's insane.
