Squad, Avengers, and Brotherhood are tier 1. Morlocks evasion is pretty much tier 1.
Hellfire club is an acrobatic dodge away from dominating the field. Too bad all the ATK pump is +3 and all the D pump is +2. That means 3 D = 2 ATK, and that just means average draws crush the HC.
I have no clue what I'm going to play. I'm bringing 4 decks and I'll feel out the field.

I can't speak with any authority on it, since my Avengers build was apparently sub-standard. :)
Repulsor Ray would seem to help a bunch though. They wouldn't be able to Backs (except for the first attack), and they'd have to do all their evading in advance. Evading in advance hurts, but isn't as crippling as it sounds, I'd think.
If you can't find a pump better than +2, or you're having a lot of trouble with the Morlocks matchup, try it out and then come back and tell us how it is.
Of course my flight is in 8 hours, so I probably won't read it. :D
Actually, now that I think about it (and read the comment above) they're right. Backs removes the attacker trait, meaning Repulsor Ray can't resolve with a valid target. You are forcing them to waste their Backs though, so it's an advantage, but not as big as it could be. Scarlet Witch's ability is infinitely better.
Hellfire Club is actually pretty good if you can combine some of the KO effects as well. The biggest thing that I see is that they need to live through turn 5 to really get stuff going. If they can just minimize damage early on they'll be in good shape.
u can use brotherhood with a touch of avengers like :
1drop- ram ram / rick jones
2 drop amelia/ crome
3 drop black phanter/ sennyaka
4 drop anne marie/ spoor
5 drop polaris /saberthooth
6 drop wonderman/ the gay that cut reinforce
7 drop hercoles and maybe another guy
for plot twist
the acolytes
planet x
boot to the head
heroes in reserve
flying kick or another plot twst u like
u coul use face of evil to is very fast u will always have a lot of characters and if your oppnonent misses drop is dead
try a mental phisical xmen momentary distraction will kill atacks and mind control could save some damage , psychic strugle, psyloke and mental domination will say no to plot twist, emma will reuse the turnabouts for an of curve attack
a good squadron deck will be a pain in the *** with a timed equippment on shape ( i think is force field belt the one that give counters paying resource) and windstorm flying kick will give u attack for a turn and a empty hand for a rocket central that will allow good atk and the other plot twist
for avengers adding some leaders could help u with assemble for me 1 wasp 3 doctor droid, 4 sub mariner and one captain america i think that will be enough for 2 avengers asemble
and thats are my .02 cents for the worst vs player on earth
I don't know what makes you think brotherhood beats avengers, it's just not true. trying to get a field advantage off avengers reservist is just hard, plain and simple.
Sqaudron and avengers are evenly matched with cards like hawkeye, carol, natasha, and rick jones on one side and Big Beats, Insect swarm, and Panacea potion on the other side.
Lemmie guess, you still running a pure reservist deck with cards like Beast 1 drop? Wrong build, you should be running 3-4 Avenger's Assemble with x4 each of the new legacy cards, a captain america 6 drop, and 2-4 wasps.
Turn 4 on ur init is just better then it used to be with wasp and natasha (with quick silver already out) purposely underdroped.

Pretty close to what I run. But Hawkeye > Spoor... especially since he can be searched for as a one of. And I personally favor Sub-Mariner on 5... but my build is all about cycling. The bonus to attack and flight on him are great, but the resource cycling is amazing.
Morlocks is definetly the weakest play with KFC being the strongest but it's a confusing deck to play and if you make mistakes it costs you tournaments.
techno : I'll gladly post up my list if it helps people with their builds ( though i can picture alot of shock with it) Where would you like me to post my list? (individual thread or THFC strat and tactics forum?)
I wouldve won with HFC if i didnt go on autopilot and forget to massacre his best drop, Oh and i missed my 7 drop, but still put up a helluva fight :P.
for MMA tournies i expect to see alot of reservists (any) and morlocks (well, duh!) but I dont expect to see alot of squadron.
If morlocks/reservist decks are strong in your metagame, HFC may be the deck worth playing. You know your in a good position when your opponent has to team attack your main drop with both of his biggest characters in order to stun it.
