I've heard of people doing that. It's actually the best time, I'd think, since the beginning and end of a tourny are the mostly likely time for a deck check.
Originally posted by Dalton I'd recommend asking for a judge whenever you play against a player w/ a reputation like Roy. It can't hurt. Now they're most likely not going to stand by your table and watch every move that is made, but they might pay closer attention. I asked for a judge to watch us both times we played in PC LA. The 1st time he blatantly cheated atleast twice when there was no judge watching ("accidentally" flipping the 5th card using 2 drop Fantastic and recruting an extra resource point worth of stuff). The 2nd time was in draft and he lost cause he didn't know what his own cards did :). I can't say I will miss him.
Don't forget the time he said "Oh thought we weren't going to cut" when you thought that he was just some kid and let him off with it only for him to play Alicia Masters and get triple CosRad for Thing ELBET on turn 3
Yeah, people like that make me sick. I've never known a person to actually switch their decks around in a tourney before. I've known some people adding cards, and switching some events or spells, but not the whole deck. It just seems really stupid on his part.
I would not be surprised if he tried to change his name
Thank God. Roy has tried to cheat me before, and Im glad he is finally banned. Like Dalton, I was going to take a similar course of action if I played him at any future premiere events. The judges have known for some time that he is a cheater, they just needed some solid proof of such to ban him. It is beyond me why Roy continued to perform various acts of 'mischievous conduct' after such a close call (the incident with his brother) and uncountable warnings. I think it just goes to show that people like him get their thrills from cheating the game, and not from deckbuilding/playing/etc. While I don’t claim to be a criminal pathologist, his condition is analogous to that of a serial rapist. Forms of punishment do not really affect Roy, the only way to truly prevent him from committing further acts of cheating in UDE games is to ban him from playing them. However, there is no question in my mind that Roy will find some other inventive outlet for his cheating and dishonesty (perhaps another ccg?) - I just hope it doesnt affect me.
Did anyone click the link and check out the full UDE Suspended Players List?
The last 2 names are from the UK, and they are suspended for 'Violent Behavior'? What were they doing, flipping over tables?? And could this have anything to do with UDE's new European tournament policy?
