Knights hurts it bad. And if the build is also running Swan Dive, it can completely decimate it. I teched a deck specifically against this and Squad that ran Marvel Knights, Hounds and ran Banished. Direct hits with big hidden characters, searching out M&M, and then swan diving after the direct attacks to clear their swarm... it hurt.
I think that any new Energy builds will hurt this also. Magnetic Force can be a real pain when all your guys cost so little.
Frosted meat is pretty gross. Frosted meat on the red herring may ruin your pc. I did not say he said it was the best deck. It is a red herring because looking to the fastest rush deck in the format will prevent you from finding the top decks out there. Rush decks will be the red herring of PCSF. I prefer the short curve back breakers myself.
hmmmm. banished vs bad press is what it has come down to in my mind. I can't seem to figure out which is going to be more important in my meta. I mean with cards like absolute dominance and that new shadowpact flame trap thingy bad press looks more beneficial but in the same breath banished is equally good, but perhaps it's more overkill than anything else. I mean with huge characters that AGL Rush puts out, all with flight and range, character advantage is almost natural to the deck. Hmmm. choices....
Yes that is a meta choice. And until you see what the meta holds it's a matter of taste. I feel that bad press should get the nod. You can still get turn 4 kills without banished.
With bad press you can stall your opponents effects so you can still kill on 4 or at worst 5. Turn 1 press can really mess up certain decks and that one turn might be all you need.
I rarely ever have problems with getting rid of Characters, and rather than move them out of the way for my guys to get through, I'd rather stun them and put more pressure on my opponent as the turn count goes up.
As soon as I get x4 Bad Press, I'm going to put them in. I just need to know what to take out...
Originally posted by downtown play more pumps and win the game, instead of trying not to lose it.
For me, that goes for Bad Press too. If I was going to San Fran, I would play it straight-up with all pumps and try to pull Xallarap out on turn three every time against rush. It can win on its own, just win with it.
Here's some bad Golden Age builds that can catch good luck, just add Blinding Rage:
I've been having some nice success with Gravesite in my build.
The biggest issue with AGL is consistency, and Gravesite helps to alleviate bad draws (not to mention milling through your deck to make sure you've got 3 AGLs for Felix). Getting multiple Gravesites into your row along with a Willworld pretty much means you won't miss a drop.
I am betting that banished will win you more games in this deck than bad press will. The former fits with the overly aggressive tone of the deck whereas bad press seems to just slow it down. Morever, the effectiveness of BP is dependent on what the opponent is playing. Banished is effective against just about every deck except the mirror or MKKO, if anybody plays that anymore... and even in the mirror you can still banish Faust.
