Specifically, because (and I'm working off the 10K Hamilton Top 8 list here) Fate Squadron is very susceptible to mid-combat Slaughter Swamp activations, and Metallo can naturally stun Nuke when he's small. Generally, because he removes all three artifacts instead of just one, and doesn't require you to pay endurance to do so. We considered Jester when we were building, but Metallo is just far more efficient.
i thiink jester is better because by stealing cloak from ur opps char it practically steals +3/+3 from their char and give ur guy +1/+1. Also jester is good in a good guys matchup. take katar hols nth metal and he goes from a 9/9 to a 7/7 and ur jester becomes a 8/7. i like that a lot.:p
Against Good Guys, you want to be making Merlyn or Fatality anyway. Merlyn in particular, because Good Guys tends to play a second 5-drop on turn 6, giving Merlyn his choice of targets without having to set up Sensei.
Uh, Jester is better than Metallo because he is good on either initiative. Metallo has a tiny butt and will get stunned by lady lark on 4. Sure Metallo KO's all the equipment, but stealing an amulet is almost the same thing. And plus it beefs up your guys =P
Jester has an equally tiny butt, but he also has puny T-rex-like arms. Metallo, on the other hand, has one big beefy arm. Like Trogdor.
That is, Jester's lower ATK is not irrelevant. Neither is having to pay endurance against a rush deck.
The only reason I might consider running Jester over Metallo is if I were also running the 2-card package of Dr. Fate's Tower and Cloak of Nabu. Which I'm not, because there isn't space and I don't really see the need for it.
Well Jester Shuts down your opponents ability to play any more artifacts. But with metallo on your (assuming it is your initiative) your opponent may hold back a couple pieces to play on the following turn.
No Such luck with Jester.
The only reason to play Metallo over Jester is if you are running the Phantom Zone.
Yea thats the only reason why i would consider metallo, is because of phantom zone but i rather screw my opponents board up rather than their ko'd pile.

Sure, unless your opponent is playing any sort of Dr. Light/MoE based decks. i.e. JLI Task Force, X-Faces, Killing Joke, Glock...
